Has anyone had luck sending a card to topps for replacement?

Pulled a 2023 Topps finest Ashley red refractor. It looks good. Downside, when you hit it at an angle with a flashlight you can see 2 small roller indentions. I was 1st thinking about selling it , flipping the money for more boxes. Then I thought I would trade it for more Acuna, Riley Greens,etc.

NOW I know it wont get a 10 so selling it as it is seems unappealing. The card looks great, but I know it's not a perfect card and I know most people who buy WANT that

Anyway, does topps still replace factor damaged cards? Yes, I know it's miniscule, but it is also a /5 card not a base card.

I would say if you're just wanting to sell it, use those pics that way the potential buyer won't be surprised when they get it. Topps/Fanatics quality is complete garbage now it seems and they don't care anymore. I doubt they will replace a red /5 card but who knows? Maybe there is a chance they will send you a PSA 10 caliber replacement.

I don't think Topps replaces cards that they believe will grade at least PSA 8 or higher.

I have had success sending cards to Topps for replacement, but it was an entire box of 22 Update cards that were dented on the side. They didn't replace the cards individually (despite my list). They replaced the two best inserts and gave me new packs of cards.

I had a handful of Finest Flashbacks base cards that were mangled in the box from the way the packs laid. They replaced them card for card. In this case, I don't see any way you're gonna get another Adley /5 from any product in return

I send like 5 or 6 2022 Chrome Update Purple Refractors of Julio and Witt that were like 90/10 centering and the sent 2 Refractor Autos of Lodolo and Rosario and kept the other 3 or 4 cards. lol

Just glad to get something half way decent but would still have liked the other cards they didn't replace back.

Friend pulled a Corbin Burnes mini Red /5 from 2022 Allen & Ginter X that had been crimped on the bottom of the card. Basically mutilated. They sent him a Josh Lowe auto /25 from the same product.

But I don’t believe your card has sufficient damage. I also don’t think they’ll give you any sort of replacement that’s on par with the card you have, even factoring in the damage.

If you’re cool getting something else back of lesser value way in the future…then you totally should send it in. Sell the card with great pics and a great description…and move on. Topps will most likely screw you. You gambled and got lucky with the pull. Don’t double down by sending it in. There’s no big upside of doing so. Cash in your chips and buy something you want.

I pulled a Series 1 Adley gold autograph. Problem is that there was no autograph on it. I sent it back to Topps and do not think I will ever get anything back. That is how you have to mentally prepare with Topps. It was an easy $1k card at release, so that really sucks, but there isn't a whole lot we can do about it.

That doesn't look like sufficient reason for Topps to replace it, if that's the only issue it would likely grade PSA 8 at a minimum.

As others have said, list it for sale with good photos and move on.

To add- Topps takes months and months to replace a card that by the time they do, the replacement value has dropped significantly in most cases. That card even with print lines is probably worth the most it will ever be. Sell it.

Topps moved their CS to TX, so they'll use that as an excuse for delays in processing.

As already mentioned, just sell as is with clear photos.

Tell me about it...I pulled a green shimmer Elly bowman 1st Auto last August with creases on the back. Sent it in with all the required items and haven't heard from it since. They told me it'll take up to 8 months... then they started using the moved to TX excuse. They can't even tell me if they have it or not at this point. I also received a green mega elly auto redemption from them that had a piece of plastic in the toploader that caused a big dent in the card. I was assured by them that it would be a quick swap...I haven't seen that card either. No one in customer service knows anything... all they keep saying is someone will contact you in 7-10 days. I have a feeling I'll probably never see those cards again

We're coming up on one year waiting on a replacement for a nice card we pulled from 2021 Topps Chrome Anniversary. The latest emails seem to indicate that somewhere along the way my card has been misplaced...fun times.

I will say this I submitted my claim on 3-20-2023 and received the 2 replacements this past Monday so about a 3 1/2 month turn around. When I initially made the claim the timeline they gave was 6-8 months so from that standpoint in my case it was quick.

I just looked and out of the 8 cards I sent in 7 show completed and 1 still shows submitted so still holding out hope of at least 1 more card.

Their timelines are all over the place. I have some 2022 product waiting on damage replacement from around 10 months ago. But I also had a replacement request sent in April and fulfilled in under two months. I had a missing hit request fulfilled in about a month.

That card is fine. Sell it as-is with pics like those, price it so it goes through ebay authentication.

I sent two 2020 Finest Flashback Refractors back, I got two base cards in return. In the positive side, I sent Star Wars Sapphire card back with the machine creases on back, they did a one for one
