Sorry this isn't directly Ohtani-related but this has been driving me nuts for a long time. These cards clearly say "PyroKteknics", correct? Am I crazy? Because ebay listings, slabs etc all refer to "Pyroteknics", which of course makes more sense. Where did the extra "K" come from and why? Typical Topps incompetence?

Nah, Moreno won't trade his prized toy unless another team overpaid by so much he was forced to take the deal.
He'd rather be known as the owner who held onto Ohtani, offered some contract he knew Ohtani would reject and leave for another team, than the owner that traded away possibly the best player to ever play the game.
If he lets Ohtani walk, he can spin it as Ohtani rejecting the Angels instead of being the guy that traded away Babe Ruth 2.0.

Does this happen? I can't recall a rental re-signing with a team because of a two-month-plus relationship.

I mean they'd be crazy not to leave the door slightly open. That doesn't mean they're going to trade him or even that it's likely.

Does this happen? I can't recall a rental re-signing with a team because of a two-month-plus relationship.

Anthony Rizzo comes to mind as a player traded at the deadline and signing with the team he was traded to. Might have still signed with the Yankees had he not been traded there, but I imagine his few months with the team helped in getting him to ink a new deal.

Be interesting in the middle of a season with a very strong MVP run, being in the same

routine till the end of the season would be best, unless the acquiring team won the WS.

I wonder if a player that ended up winning MVP was ever traded during said MVP season.

Not sure but the Angels should be doing it for the 2nd time but I believe they wont even do it for the 1st time in a few weeks. They should've traded Trout a few years ago. The Angels are just a poorly ran club.

The Orioles need to sack up and trade Kjerstad (who's already 24), Holliday, and their first-round pick and welcome Shotime to Baltimore. Lamar and Shohei can rule Charm City for the next five years...Elaine Benes can wear her Orioles hat in the front row and go crazy in the Bronx.

they can offer much more than that.

heck, they can offer them the entire Norfolk roster, which may be better than the Angels roster at this point

agreed....a little FOMO to start off the weekend !

There are many many different 2018 rcs to choose, but for me, THE TWO are the #700 pitching, and the US285 update.

Of course i love the 2018 heritage action #17 and the #600, but they aren't particularly in action either.
