Yes, mostly because comparing players (and people) of different eras frequently doesn’t make sense and isn’t fair.

Picked up a couple of nice 2021 Sterling Superfractor autos:
I am glad they are getting Shane out until after the ASG so he can get healed up. I am hoping for an amazing second half! Untitled by Michael Moler, on FlickrI had to have this one when I saw it pop up on ebay. He has looked great lately. Untitled by Michael Moler, on Flickr

Your McClanahan collection is worthy of the ol Beckett spotlight article
Here hoping for a healthy and productive second half for him.

I really wonder if the Pirates will look to extend or move Mitch Keller. He is absolutely dealing right now.

Manoah had a much better outing today in a Double-A game, striking out 10 and giving up just 3 hits in 5 innings.
That doesn’t mean back to being a Cy Young contender yet, but it does ease concerns about the brutal FCL stat line last week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Luzardo for Cy Young!
Well, maybe not quite yet. But I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he pushes his way into the conversation… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Manoah’s back!
Granted, it’s just one start and against the Tigers. But it’s nice to see him competitive again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

It's been 11 weeks since the last update, so thought it would be a good time to check in.
Here is every 25 year old starter's Game Score this year (10 start minimum). Quite a bit has changed since April, but Strider and McClanahan still lead the way. Amazing to see not only 3 Mariners in the top 10, but 3 Marlins as well. Atlanta with 2 ain't too shabby either. A fun time to follow young pitchers, for sure. ESPN GAME SCORE LEADERBOARD THROUGH JULY 14th 25 or younger as of March 1st. https://www.espn.com/mlb/stats/daily.../type/pitching Formula: 50 + 1*Outs + 2*IP after the 4th + 1*K - 2*H - 4*ER - 2*UnearnedRuns - 1*BB

If you don't play fantasy baseball, you might not have noticed Nick Pivetta last night...
https://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/boston-...ics-430717111/ 6 no-hit innings, 2 walks, 13 Ks. Past 30-days: 21-2/3 inn, 3 wins, 38 Ks, 2.08 ERA, 0.65 WHIP (15.78 K/9)

It’s interesting that he’s found this success while pitching purely as a long reliever/piggybacker. But whatever works… Last night, of course, was against the Las Vegas Aviators… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
