I'll bet you they won't make the finals. You name the price.

WCF has been achieved by so many teams. Even an old LeBron just recently. Even Dame!

They'll move Ayton for some of those possible pieces ... they can't keep the current roster as is Salary Cap wise.

I’ll take this action as well… for the Finals

Name the dollar amount

The fact you even had to say WCF is pathetic as if that matters

We've seen Beal as the #1...doesn't work.

We've seen Beal as the #2...doesn't work.

We haven't seen Beal as the #3. It's a different dynamic when there's very little chance of him being doubled and getting the same amount of attention.

At the same time, Beal needs to mentally adjust to being a role player. Took Bosh/Love, etc...awhile but at least he can start preparing himself now.

I’m not taking them over the Nuggets. But I’ll be here when Beal plays well.

So the Suns have a center who doesn't care, no point guards, no D, two scoring SGs and a SF who's getting on a bit and dealing with injuries lately, and very little bench.

Can't see how this works unless they do something else big.

We don’t typically celebrate third wheels, but if you feel better doing so, have at it boss.

I would hope he would play well with Booker and Durant taking all the heat. My goodness.

Beal will have his chance to be the 2 and even 1 option some days. not sure why everyone thinks the roles are set 100% of the time. i’m excited to see how that trio works, despite my disdain for booker aka store brand kobe.

Right, if he played well as the #1 option, he is going to kill it as a third option. Glad we are on the same page.

his no-trade clause must've really handicapped them, but kudos to the Wiz FO for getting something for that contract. The swaps may really pay off if KD and Beal hit the sidelines as per usual. In '26 when Beal is making $50+ mil and still has his NTC is when the Phx FO will cry, I guess they're hoping they have a ring to show for it before then.

imo bad decision for the suns. They might be even worse than this year.

Denver will destroy suns in 2nd chance points, points in the paint, flow of the game, defense and bench.

Only way now is to trade ayton and get more role players or sign a bunch of tough role players at the minimum even though they wont provide pts. (only defense and energy).
I'm gonna assume dwight howard, dillon brooks, blake griffin, patrick beverly.

Btw suns right now only have 6 players in their roster. Everyone else is free agent.
booker, kd, beal, ayton, payne, wainright.
They still have the rights on landale

Two things I love about this trade for Denver.

(1) I don't know what Bradley Beal buys Phoenix. I suppose they'll roll w/ a 2-guard lineup most of the time because Durant can bring the ball up at times so a true PG is not needed but they'll have to figure out an offense that works w/ all three on the floor. Four max contracts right now is LOL but Ayton will go and they're going to be pretty baron at the 5. Love it.

(2) The elephant in the room for me is that KD wasn't all that sharp vs. Denver. He'll be 35 next year and I'm not confident he'll be A+ Durant. Certainly not 55% shooter Durant. I think a bit of regression is in order if he survives a whole season health wise, he'll be gassed and then some in the playoffs when Phoenix still has to play him 45 minutes a game because they lack any depth.

That said, Phoenix gave up absolutely nothing. Washington may have had no choice because Beal dictated terms but damn did they get absolutely hosed for what they would have gotten in a free market.

No no no. Washington received zero ... almost the same as what Denver got back for Bones.

If all you care about is ppg, then I suppose so. Explains a lot.

Yeah I really struggle to figure out their gameplan. Could be they're planning to use one of Beal/Booker as PG and try to 'develop' him as such?

Just a confusing mix of allocating resources but it's almost like KD forces that each time he demands a new team/coach. I can only assume the FO thinks they will find some pesky defenders for cheap and then stagger 2 of their 3 stars at all times to make up for the lack of defense/size/ball control.

zero swaps? Difference is Bones wasn't on an albatross contract. Washington did get cap relief on what I'm reading is the only contract in the league left with a NTC.

The swaps may yield something, they may not ... but considering the level that Beal plays at (which one must admit has been good to very good), you'd think you could do better than a rotation player + a couple of 2nds.

The NTC made that impossible and demonstrated why it's probably the last one you and I see in our lifetime.

You're going to have three guys take 60-70 shots a night and then expect the other 7 rotation guys to be sharp on 20-25 shots a night while bringing almost all the defense and front court size. I'll give it a chance but it's difficult to see how this works without finding a diamond or two in the rought for zero cost.

Plenty of vets will take the minimum or thereabouts to have a title chance in Phoenix.

They have Bird rights on Craig, Landale and Biyombo if they want them.

There's always depth available, I mean just from the Sixers you could possibly have available FAs of: Korkmaz, Millsap, Dedmon, Jalen McDaniels, Shake Milton, Trez, House. Some of those guys would be very useful surrounding the big 3 in Phoenix. Just as examples.

Like they were useful in PHI. An entire lineup of players who barely played in the post-season and averaged 15 points on 37% shooting.

That's not depth.
