Does anyone know the print run on the 2006-07 upper deck Vegas all star game “playing” cards or how they were distributed?

I have no idea about the print run of these cards, but they were distributed in 2 ways that I know of. At the NBA Jam Session at Mandalay Bay convention center they were given out as a wrapper redemption for opening up UD packs at their booth. I believe this took place Thu-Mon during that weekend. I went on the Saturday before the all star game and on that day they gave out the MJ, Kobe and Jerry Tarkanian. I opened up a box of some low end product that I can no longer remember and received 5 of each of those 3 cards. This was most likely the busiest day so I assume most of these 3 were distributed this way. The other way that I received some of these cards were bonus cards sent to me with UD redemptions.
I can't even recall seeing the stacks of these playing cards at the booth to even estimate a print run. I definately remember seeing the stacks of Lebron rc and Kobes on the table at the 2004 ASG that I also collected in person. But there's no mystery to that print run since they are stamped /2004. Unfortunately the last UD NBA ASG set they numbered was the 2005 Denver set /2005. I put together the 2004-2009 sets and the hardest for me to find by far have been the 2008 NOLA followed by 2007 Vegas. A lot of 45 2009 PHX MJ cards sold in March and the same seller seems to have tons of PSA 10s of the same card. This makes me think that they are more common or were distributed less widely (ie, more dumped in bulk instead of as a wrapper redemption at the event) Here's scans of my Lebrons 2004-2009 in the first pic and the other 4 2004s (1 given out each of the 5 days, and 2 2005 UD Collectables /3000 that I have no idea how they were distributed ![]() top gif ![]() Last edited by SlangNRox; 06-07-2023 at 03:41 PM. |
