My basketball PC is Luka, Brogdon, De’Andre Hunter, Ty Jerome, Giannis, MJ, and Kobe. Yup, I definitely hate black people.

You made it about race but now are saying you didn’t? Ok.

No, I definitely did. Like I said, racist or troll. I lean troll, but maybe it’s both? I know the last two plus seasons have been hard on you. But it’s going to be okay.

Jokic is about to get his tonight and it’s been fun to see. Leading his team to #1 in the west and being the dominant force he is throughout the playoffs. As I said in the playoffs thread he’s been a joy to watch this postseason. Props to joker and the nuggets for their first title. Luka, it’s your turn. I expect a big year from him but he needs to at least make the playoffs next year.

Joker will be in an interesting spot. After Giannis won his first I expected him to be in the hunt for a title for the next several years but they haven’t done much. The nuggets are a bit younger so they may be able to sustain success for longer. Are nuggets going to be the consensus favorites to win the title next year?

Denver has a better supporting cast around Jokic. Giannis has a meh surrounding cast (and for years had a terrible coach).

They'll be the favorites next year even if some new super team shows up.

Stuff like this is always funny. I’m not going to compare cast vs cast because that will take more then the common sense effort I want to spare. First off Gianni’s has had a great supporting cast. All defensive players, all stars, and good role players that play both sides of the court. Remember the bucks won multiple games without Gianni’s to win the ecf. Coach bud earned coach of the year. After they gave Kidd the boot for coming in 6th in the east, coach bud coached them to first in the east and had a record of 271-120 in 5 years.

If MPJ can actually live up to his potential, the Nuggets could be favorites for the next couple of years.

If only Bol Bol was still on the roster.

Maybe we can see some growth. Winning this year could take some pressure off him going forward. While he’s young and has elite athleticism he should be driving more and not falling in love with the 10 foot hop 3 pointer he’s being doing a lot.

Agree to disagree. Coach Bud was a fine regular season coach and he certainly won Coach of the Year, which was a regular season award. But I thought Coach Bud’s playoff adjustments (or lack there of) were disappointing. As for supporting cast, I have never been enamored with the other players on Milwaukee (beyond Giannis). I think Jrue and Middleton are overrated. I’d be surprised if Milwaukee ever wins another title with Giannis. Which is sad because I like Giannis.

When you’re best player goes down in the conference finals adjustments have to be made and the bucks ended up winning the title that year. That’s pretty big. Obviously you have to have the players to win but bud deserves credit for steering the ship in the right direction and bringing the bucks success they had been lacking. I don’t think jrue and Middleton are overrated but I think we’ve probably seen the best they have to offer, more so with kris and it’s going to get harder for Gianni’s to win again in Milwaukee unless the front office does some work.

I don’t disagree. Glad they got a title for Milwaukee when they did.

Hells yeah.

Dunked em both in pingblings mouth good.

He probably overtakes Gomi and Ninja for worst takes of this season. And that's hard to do.

Grats ping. You are the weakest link.

Smart move bumping it yourself instead of having someone else do it after the Finals ends

Me too. Giannis is one of my favorite players in the league and was really wanting to see them be a contender year in and year out. Behind Lebron, Gianni’s, luka, and probably jokic (he’s really grown on me in the playoffs) are my favorite players to watch. Of course there are several others that i enjoy watching but this group is the most exciting for me right now. That’s part of the reason I made this thread. As good as they are I want to see them produce and win when it matters. Jokic has done that this season and gets my respect.

Yeah it doesn’t bother me. Instead of the content, my thread was judged because of me being a Lebron fan and the history from that. See the post above yours for reference.

Bryant & Reggie trades seem like duds but Brown & KCP have been great for them.

Denver has some interesting young guys for the future too. Braun had some nice games in the RS and of course in the Finals and it seems like a lot of people are high on Peyton Watson as a future contributor.

I get Bryant. He was getting some run time because they lakers were thin and had no inside presence outside of ad. Reggie makes me scratch my head. He was looking good last season but this year seems to have dropped off a cliff.

Some members on here will have you believe that players such as luka and jokic are at the upper echelon of nba history. Their stats say one thing but their record when it matters says otherwise. Luka with a 14-17 record and jokic with his 21-27 record in the playoffs is telling. Maybe they are on the path of the goat (mj) 24-29 record in the playoffs before he broke through. I don’t know, but I do know is they will have to start winning to be considered as some of the best that’s ever played. Their stats say one thing, their value to team success says another. Will they rise to the pantheon of all time greats, or will they be remembered as great players that couldn’t win? Time will tell.
Good playoff stats are the key to playoff success.
As for a Bron vs. Joker comparison: Murray, Gordon & Co. >>> Ilgauskas, Varejao et al, so there's that.
But also: put Joker in Bron's place on the 2011 Heat and I think they win a chip
