OKC can offer all their draft picks for Giannis.

Yep, nobody else comes close to Presti's warchest of assets.

SGA-Giddey-JayDub-Giannis-Chet would be must-see. A little light on the shooting but they can always trade more picks for shooting at the deadline if they needed to.

I was being sarcastic about the Cavs trade lmao

I doubt Giannis is getting traded this off-season

Yeah, that's tough. I agree though, if you can get a good enough haul for Scoot(the pick)...do it and try and give Dame one more legitimate run before his hair starts greying.

I'm a fan of Amen too. But I think Scoot is who they really want. KPJ has been a net negative and showed zero signs of improvement during the year. He's like a more chill version of Poole that can pass better. Scoot's athleticism and quickness combined with that young roster is going to make them really tough to deal with from a pace standpoint, though defensively they'll stay a hot mess.

Most interested to see what Spurs build now... Would Chicago go for a Vassell-McDermott-Birch and pick[s] for DeRozan deal? Keep in mind DD is expiring, but he is relatively cheap for a semi-star still in his prime-ish. McD and Birch are to match contracts, Vassell is a young wing with some potential still.

DD worked well as Pop's point-forward. They would still have space to sign two good players. Reaves and BroLo?

DeRozan-Reaves-Keldon-Wemby-BroLo ... I'd watch.

That's size, defense, and should be enough offense if Reaves doesn't turn into a pumpkin and Wemby is as advertised.

Lol, I friecken called this and bet on it. Both Spurs to win #1 and Portland a top 3.

Pop has essentially ruined the hobby value of every single draft pick for years, but surely, surely he's gonna play Wemby a LOT...

What would it cost the Spurs to trade for #3 if Scoot fell to the Portland?

Some combination of their future firsts, 33/44 in this draft, and then Keldon or Vassell...maybe both depending on the picks.

get 3 and 43 out of it.

Report: Blazers Expected to Shop No. 3 Pick to Help Lillard; Grant Set to Return
I think this originated on bleacher report, so take with grain of salt... but it does make sense. Would the Nets bite on possibly getting Scoot and sending Mikal? Or does Toronto with Siakam? [Siakam would likely need to sign an extension first though]

Call me crazy but I’m taking Mikal over every player not named Wemby in both this year and next years draft

No I agree, which is why the Nets would have to be convinced Scoot is a future mega star. Mikal would be a likely perfect #2 next to Dame.

1. If you are going after Siakam does Grant really help you unless it is a sign and trade deal? Does Toronto want/need Grant at that point?

Grant/Simons/3 for Siakam? Does Sharpe have to be in the trade?

2. If it is the Nets, I assume they would want 3/Sharpe/+ for Bridges. What gets that deal done?

Re-sign Grant and then you have:

Lillard
Simons
Bridges
Grant
Nurkic?

Thybulle/Reddish/Nas Little are a few guys off the bench so you'd need some depth still.

Agree but then what do you do about a big man. I think Nurk is a decent player but can’t stay healthy.

If you blow your load on Mikal you’re not really left with anything left in the tank.

Well if they don't re-sign Grant they'd have some money to go after someone. They could probably re-sign Winslow to play the 4, and/or just run small.

I think Toronto may possibly do Nurk+Simons+3rd pick for Siakam. Poeltl is a FA and they don't really need a 4 if they keep OG.

Scoot-Simons-Barnes-OG-Nurk would have some upside I think. At least to be as good as they were and then if Scoot hits you win the trade.

For the Nets it's hard to get a feel for how much they value Mikal. Guessing they'd want young players like Sharpe, yeah. Wonder if Sharpe, Little, Reddish, and #3 works.

Possibly... I'd think a more defensive-minded co-star would be the main target though. Siakam and Bridges keep popping up as possibilities.

Well, we know Toronto isn't wanting to run it back, so it will be interesting to see how they shake things up.

FAs for Toronto:

Jakob Poeltl
Will Barton
Fred VanVleet (player)
Gary Trent Jr. (player)
Dalano Banton (restricted)
Otto Porter Jr. (player)
Jeff Dowtin Jr. (restricted)
Ron Harper Jr. (restricted)

If you’re not getting Dame a Top 10 player, it’s just a waste of time. Pascal is 29 and will be an expiring contract next season Not much of an upgrade from Grant.

Simons
Sharpe
Brandon Miller/Scoot

Start that rebuild. Dame doesn’t care much and his era has ran its course. Nobody's really happy in this marriage but nobody's got the balls to say let’s move on.

To me if you're the Blazers you should be praying for Scoot and send Dame on his way for the highest offer. Rebuild with Sharpe/Scoot.
I do wonder if Harden leaves Philly if the Sixers would entertain Embiid for Simons/Nurkic/Sharpe + #3.

100% agree with rebuild in Portland. Dame isn’t taking you to the promise land. As good as he is. He’d need a lot more help. Sorry

Thing is Dame doesn’t want to leave the Portland scene. His family is settled, he got a dealership to run and is loved by the city. The Blazers also doesn’t want to send their cash cow and the greatest Trailblazer player in history away.

Leave the guy alone in PDX.

So it appears that James Harden is headed back to Houston. Hope he gets the “freedom” he wants over there.

If Boston loses this series... what do y'all think? If a major 3-team blockbuster were to go down... Seems with Harden going back to Houston that they'll need to get him a running mate... and Boston likely tries something different.

Boston gets:
Dame $45.6/4 yrs

Dame-Smart-Brogdon-Tatum-Timelord/Horf

Houston gets:
J Brown $31.8/1 yr

Harden-Green-Brown-Eason/KMart-Sengun

Portland gets:
#4 pick
D White $18.3/2 yrs
K Porter Jr $15.8/3 yrs
J Smith Jr $9.3/rook

Scoot-Simons-Sharpe-Jabari-Nurk

with either a deep bench to help the kids learn, or trade pieces galore.
