Wow, that dude was a trip. He did a LOT of posting/thread creating in barely a year.

I'm sad I missed him!

Even Houdini used to chime in on certain threads. Is that dude still alive?

This was one of the 'best', most well conceived scams I've ever seen. If you can use those nice words describing a thief...

Dude created a following. Like, drink the Kool-Aid, you'd get drug through the mud if you spoke ill of Haiku, following!

Gave amazing deals over a long period of time. People would refresh for hours just waiting for them. And he'd follow through with them!

Then ran one more 'mega deal' right before/around Christmas.

Had folks paying FF... and straight disappeared with 5 figures of people's money.

Don't think he was ever found either

Didn't the OP of the Haiku thread end up getting banned himself for some kind of fantasy football scam?

They need to make a Netflix series of Haiku, at the very least.

First page of the 'Haiku Scam' thread has 5-6 banned members on it

I just asked ChatGPT and this is what it gave me:
Title: "The Haiku Heist"

Episode 1: The Birth of a Legend

INT. DARK ROOM - NIGHT

A montage of computer screens, featuring intense conversations, images of sports cards, and a mysterious username: "Haiku."

NARRATOR (V.O.)
In the shadows of the internet, a con artist emerged. A man named Haiku, who would go on to become a legend among sports card collectors.

INT. BLOWOUT MESSAGE BOARD - DAY

A close-up of the screen reveals the lively discussions on "Blowout," a popular sports card collectors' forum. Users are passionately debating the latest releases and trading tips.

NARRATOR (V.O.) (CONT'D)
On the message board "Blowout," collectors found solace, camaraderie, and dreams of valuable cards. But within this community, a dark force began to grow.

INT. HAUNTED HOUSE - FLASHBACK - NIGHT

A gloomy, rundown house. Rain pours heavily outside.

NARRATOR (V.O.) (CONT'D)
Before the rise of Haiku, he was just a nameless figure, lurking in the shadows, orchestrating his schemes. His real name, his face, were lost in the dark corners of the internet.

INT. BLOWOUT MESSAGE BOARD - DAY

Haiku's username sparks intrigue and curiosity. Users share stories about his mysterious activities.

USER 1
Have you heard about Haiku? He claims to have insider information on valuable sports cards.

USER 2
I heard he sells them at ridiculously low prices. It's too good to be true.

INT. HAUNTED HOUSE - FLASHBACK - NIGHT

Haiku's fingers glide across the keyboard, crafting a new plan.

NARRATOR (V.O.) (CONT'D)
Using his wit and charisma, Haiku started posting on Blowout, luring in unsuspecting victims with promises of exclusive deals.

INT. HAUNTED HOUSE - FLASHBACK - NIGHT

Haiku is shown meticulously creating counterfeit headphones and packaging them to appear authentic.

NARRATOR (V.O.) (CONT'D)
But these "exclusive deals" were nothing more than a smokescreen. Haiku's true talent lay in the art of deception.

INT. BLOWOUT MESSAGE BOARD - DAY

Users start sharing their stories of being conned by Haiku.

USER 3
I sent him $500 for a rare card, but it never arrived. I think I've been scammed!

USER 4
Haiku disappeared with my $1,000. He's a master of manipulation.

INT. HAUNTED HOUSE - FLASHBACK - NIGHT

Haiku counts stacks of cash, a satisfied smirk on his face.

NARRATOR (V.O.) (CONT'D)
Hundreds of collectors fell victim to Haiku's scams. His cult following grew, while the authorities remained clueless.

INT. POLICE STATION - DAY

A detective, DETECTIVE HOUDINI, looks at a board filled with pictures and evidence related to Haiku.

DETECTIVE HOUDINI
We've got to catch this guy. He's ruining lives.

NARRATOR (V.O.)
As Haiku's reputation grew, Detective Houdini would stop at nothing to bring the con artist to justice.

To be continued...

[End of Episode 1]

The Kris Bryant superfractor giveaway thread with all of those cases of 2015 Bowman Draft also moved like that for a good amount of time.

I will confess when I made the big jump to IG about 3 years ago most of my time/energy went there, but Blowout was my absolute home for a solid 10 years. Learned so much here, laughed so much as well. Never a dull moment. Used to buy and sell regularly. This place really died, but so many memories.

What a way to unload a bunch of crappy SportKings cards. Remember, if you collect all the states you get a gold coin. Wheeler credits!

Keep or trade back any card you want! Oh, but the website "doesn't work" so you can't trade anything back.

I did see that one recently. I also saw another thread with a second guy pretending to be a cop too (can't remember who now).

Does anyone remember why NWOWOLFPACK was banned? All I've seen is references to him making another account afterwards and posting about sinks.

How much did you lose on it? Hundreds or did you get into the thousands?

Funny how you now get FREE bird pictures
