sorry for not clarifying... this is BO pre-order pricing. i would assume topps release will be a bit cheaper, but not by much. even so, you make valid points

I would imagine that they will use the ITHF checklist plus some new players... hopefully that means Federer is included (but I feel like they would have marketed him for the set). Fingers crossed for Nadal, Joker, and Murray but I am not holding my breath

They should've just scrapped it rather than waiting 2 years to put out this lackluster checklist. Tennis is already such a small market in the card world, I can't imagine there is going to be any demand for this.

That being said, I'll probably look to pick up singles of some of the legends like Sampras, Laver, Evert, etc

And they are also doing a Sapphire Edition. Not sure Topps/Fanatics can create the demand for this one.

Mcdonald's all american had a stronger checklist and that tanked so bad that shops lost money on direct cost

Horrific. Only 5 of the top 40 ranked players on the ATP Tour. Not much better on the women's side although at least they managed to get some names in there.

If this is the best you can do, why even bother.

Same - there are a few young names that a devout tennis fan will know, but honestly not too excited considering the price

Let's call a spade a spade here. The checklist is absolute dogsh*t. Might try and pickup a Raducanu or Gauff auto, but that's about it.

The good news for those of us is that our Alcaraz rookies won't lose any value and probably means Netpro have already others lined up in the same vein as Carlos.

Edberg, Sampras, Chang, Hingis, Navratilova, Evert, Gauff, Kuerten- definitely not the best current player lineup but I think enough there to have fun with a rip or two. As the inaugural set, they have room for improvement but I don't think it is so bad that it should have been scrapped.

Would you rip lite or regular hobby box? $74 doesn't seem bad for the lite but I guess you are just doing it for fun at that point

Retired checklist isn’t bad but that’s not why people buy product like this.

Gauff is the highlight by far. Not sure any other current player comes close to her. Who’s even the current men’s player chase?
