alll right, all right, all right, lets see how warriors respond.

i dunno how to do it but maybe Looney and Wiggins need to go stronger to the whole. Curry pull up at the elbow instead of tear drop. Make AD pick up more fouls. Up and unders.

I don't see the Warriors winning. Lakers look much better.

It's all about AD. He's playing like the best player on the planet. If Lakers don't close this earlier, it's because LeBron and D'Lo are taking way more possessions that they should.

Still sticking to my prediction of Lakers in 5, at most 6.

I agree. I think Memphis, even without Adams and Clarke, are better than this Warriors team.

Denver is gonna be a different story though. Looking forward to that series.

its interesting that the warriors run was with a small lineup and looney in the bench.
draymond was the center.

Also, 0 AD points in that run.

Lakers will have to rest AD in the 3rd. No way they can play him the entire second half every game. He was out of gas at the end. Warriors also went on that run as soon as Vanderbilt came out of the game.

If you told me before the game that the Warriors shot 40% in making 21 3's, there's no way I'd believe they lost by 5.

Lakers are going to get theirs in the paint all series, is my guess. Warriors can't afford to have a bad shooting night.

The one guy who can really be a difference maker for the Warriors is Wiggins. He didn't do much tonight and it could have been the difference between a win and a loss.

how? It took a Herculean effort by AD, 40 tough minutes for Bron, Schroeder shooting more FTs than all Warriors combined, and they barely won by a handful. As I said, not sustainable unless they play gonzo for a whole series. Only Vanderbilt has the motor for that.

They won't have to.

They kept him in because of the game script and maintaining a lead through most of the game.

The objective was to steal one in Chase. Mission accomplished. Regular minutes incoming for game 2, regardless of the outcome. Luckily they still have enough depth to potentially take game 2.

Pressure's all on GS now.

Don't fight it, dude.

We're getting LA/Den. And LA's going to waltz their way to another Finals appearance/(vax'd) bubble title.

My avatar is still exceptionally ready.

I think these could be the standard for AD, as long as he wants it. I also expect LeBron to be better, he was pretty mediocre today (for his standards).

I know Steph is gonna play better but I don't think it'll be enough. Split in Chase, win two tough games in Staples and you only need 1 in 3.

I can’t believe golden state has won as much as they have playing that way. That ending sequence seemed like a very highly skilled version of a pickup game at the Y. 3 3 3 3 3 3

Report likely that Embiid returns tonight. Would be nice going back to Philly 2-0

This. I think they adjust to Draymond on AD. Also, I agree with others that I don’t know if LAL has the motor to keep up with GSW. They were gassed in the 4th of game 1. What happens as this series gets deeper?

The problem they need to answer is the GSW work in the paint. They can’t refuse to go, and they don’t have anyone who can bang under - Looney ain’t it. They need to drive and try to get AD into foul trouble, but they are going to be giving up a lot of possessions doing that because AD is simply going to make plays under there too. They’ll have to make the most of it if they get him off the floor and they’ll need to do whatever they can to keep things reasonable in the meantime (something I think they’re capable of). It’s not an easy thing to do and finding ways to slow down AD offensively is not the only answer and not necessarily something the lakers would have a lot of trouble adjusting to. They have other guys who can chip in or get hot, especially if those players’ defensive cover gets lighter. I don’t see GSW dropping game 2, but we will see how the rest plays out.

We really calling set and match on LAL/GSW after game 1? The game was a bucket away from OT with like a 20 FTA disparity. There’s a lot of ball left in every series at this point.

Lakers go 7 deep, one being around replacement level (Schroder) and another one having a 2 week hot run (Rui). There's nothing special about this Lakers team construction, it's just AD going beast mode.

As you said ninja, don't overthink it.
