The BO meltdown will be phenomenal.

Rooting for LA but expect GS to win in 5.

Oh Boy, hope the Lakers lose so that we can avoid the GOAT and Insecurity Gushmore threads.

That really depends on how much the Memphis series took out of them. As long as LBJ and AD are healthy and rolling, I see the Lakers taking it. They looked like a well oiled machine the last few games, and if Dlo is going to keep it up, they’ll be a tough out.

No worries. Those will all be supplanted by 'AD carried fossil' calls or perhaps even 'lucky DLo won him a ship' audibles if Brow stinks it up.

Yeah that took everything to beat the kings. I’ll hop on the Lakers in 6 as well.

4 out of the 8 first round series were upsets. Has that ever happened before? I’d be really surprised if it did.
EDIT - maybe not upsets in terms of betting odds, just the seeding.

Gonna be a really awesome playoffs from here on out. Dubs, Suns, Cs, Heat are my picks. Low confidence on the Suns pick because they looked really out of sorts against a Nuggets team that looked like a well oiled machine, but they have too much firepower for me to bet against them.
Hopefully we get to see Curry thrash CP3 in the playoffs once again. Doesn’t matter how many teams he plays for or who he recruits. As great as a lot of PGs in the West have been, they all fold to the Chef. |

I'm going to take the Warriors in 5.....here's my reasoning:
1) The Warriors match up well with the Lakers defensively....Looney can defend AD, and Dray/Wiggins can defend LeBron. The Warriors will make them work really hard to get their points on offense, and will also go at them on defense. 2) And the Warriors have the better guards....Curry/Klay against Russell/Reaves isn't much of a contest. 3) Steve Kerr is more experienced than Darvin Ham. 4) Outside of LeBron and AD, the Lakers do not have a lot of playoff experience. |

- A zero playoff experience outside of Monk squad took GS 7.
- AD > 10 Sabonises - Inconsistent DLo + prime christopher reeves > washed KlayDay - Curry and Bron both constant - Fakers bench > Warriors bench - Ham benches 350 in the frontyard. Kerr issues thumbwrestling challenges.

Not at all since they went to best-of-seven in the 1st rd. Closest I could find was 2007. Bulls were a 5 but had a better record than the 4 seed Heat.

As long as Poole plays as little as possible and Klay doesn't attempt too much hero ball I got Warriors in 6.

Pretty neat that every seed advanced to the second round. 1-8 all made it!
First time in NBA history.

That is such a cool oddball stat - this will be one of those things that will show up in some obscure sports trivia game.

And while AD at his best (which he rarely is these days) may be better than Sabonis in a vacuum, he won't be against the Warriors because Looney matches up very well against him. Unlike Sabonis, he's not a very involved in the Lakers offense until he receives the ball, and like Sabonis he's not much of a threat away from the basket (2.6 APG vs 7.3 APG for Sabonis). The fact that the Warriors were able to beat the Kings without getting much production from anyone other than Curry & Looney is scary. |
