Ebay seller accepted my offer and now wants to cancel

So the seller accepted my $17 offer and Automatic payment was sent.
Seller later contacts me that he made a mistake and asks me if its ok to cancel the deal.
Me being a good person told him that im willing to send a few bucks more once the card is delivered but not interested in cancelling.
Seller asks again to cancel and will relist at $30
Not planning on message him again.

Completed listing has one sold for 23 and my accepted offer was 17...

Maybe it's because you are in Puerto Rico and he saw how much it costs to ship there?

Through eBay Global Shipping it shouldn't cost additional.

Pr is not international and shipping rates are typically higher than other places. There have also been reports kn other sites of many packages to PR going missing .

End of day you cannot force a seller to complete the transaction. There are potential consequences for the seller but it's still ultimately his decision.

According to the seller, he made a mistake. He was going to hit the decline bottom.

That is possible I have done it before. I honored it.

In the end he is contacting you so I would g I very him a pass. He could just cancel it with no contact at all

So the seller's best case scenario relisting it is another $13? That's nuts.

If I'd made the same mistake, I might kick myself, but I'd never ever cancel the order.

Perhaps if the discrepancy was a few hundred dollars, at least the "excuse" would make sense.
