Anything less than 162-0 is a failure of a season. Go Rays!

9 home games and TB attendance under 16,800 a game. It might not be the best stadium in MLB but come on TB fans show support to your team. This is why when the lease is up they are going to be moved.

In fairness the attendance today was 21,000+. Not shabby for a Thursday afternoon

Well it was fun while it lasted.
Now begins the 13-game losing streak

Rays have been so great this year, fun to watch and excellent in all phases except Fri/Sat. Honestly, even getting 1/3 this weekend @ Toronto given the initial streak was fine. To be Captain Obvious, hope we keep hitting for power/average, pitching lights out, and fielding at a high level.
The two biggest improvements IMO this year have been baserunning (aggressive but not to a fault) and not swinging at 0-2 away sliders (especially Randy, and others have worked counts better too, including notably Walls and of course J Lowe). And a healthy Wander is ridiculous, still room to grow on occasional plays but already a star now. Curious if Siri will still be almost every day player upon his return. I wonder if they'll keep playing Raley so much and batting him high too or if they'll go with a RHB more instead of him against RHPs too. Finally, excited for Taj Bradley and Glasnow, and hoping Springs gets well. Lol not much to complain about! |
