I don't know if you just search the dudes name you can scroll for 5 minutes and not see a single Beckett slab. Im not singling out BGS when I search. At least I don't see any

Wee you aren't searching correctly then. I'm seeing plenty of Beckett graded Jackson Chourio cards

I mean, it's mostly PSA for sure, but there's a difference between 'not a single one' vs. not as many. They are definitely there.

That said, eBay's search is horrid now, so it's not real reliable in a lot of cases anyway.

lol okay! either way Beckett is irrelevant and shouldn't be a trusted slab if you are ever going to sell.

add: its a big difference from say Vlad Jr or someone who has a boatload of Beckett graded 1st Bowmans. the difference is noticeable and telling of where collectors are leaning.

23% sucks on your best cards, I cracked and resubbed 4 PSA9's that came back PSA10's in Feb 2023, check the corners they are known to damage cards while waiting to be graded.
That was my next play smaller orders too. Had a 125 card order come back with 30 under graded. in 2019 I also went 26 for 26 PSA10 GEMS on Soto HMT55's too the good old days.
Anyone who thinks PSA grading standards are consistent in 2022/2023 is an idiot or very lucky.

Yeah, It's not like this is my first rodeo. I always prided myself in being pretty diligent about hand selecting the cards for submission and louping them for imperfections, even had the centering measured down to the milimeter. At this point it's either a money grab or population control imho

Unless it is 100% long term pc hold I don't agree that Beckett is a wise slab for ones cards.
I searched “jackson chourio” checked Graded and saw a BGS slab immediately.

This is the best advice. If "you can barely notice it", "it's not that bad", and "it's tough to tell" are the first things that come to mind when you evaluate a card... don't be upset when it comes back an 8 or a 9 (or worse).

My most recent sub came back a few weeks. All ultra modern. 8/10 gems. It’s not a money grab or “population control”, you may have had, in their opinion, a bunch of 9’s. It’s really possible.

What a croc! This is nothing but a lie. We all know the grader(s) gave OP a good number of 10s and QA knocked them down to a 9.

Similar experience, my last two all ultra-modern subs in February and March:
- 44/49 gems, 4 - 9s, 1 - 7 which I missed a foil spec on
- 11/13 gems, 1 - 9, 1 - 8 which I expected an 8 on when I subbed (patch auto)

you guys are making me nervous. I have 24 cards sitting in the QA Check 2 stage at PSA right now. I’m waiting for the grades to pop at any moment. The oldest one is actually a 2018 Update Soto US300. The rest are 2020-2022s.

Depends on the year the Card was produced - it’s awesome if it’s from the 1950’s

PSA 9's from late 90's/early 2000's releases would be the optimal collecting grade

Some of my favorite subs to PSA ended up being 9's. Personally, I'm mostly cool with PSA 9s from the 80s and early 90s.

If I took the top non-graded cards in my PC and they came back mainly 9s with a few 10s.............I'd be ok with that.

But you probably aren't looking to turn your cards into your retirement fund.

I'm in the same boat as you though.

Even though I could,no I won't. Didn't seem as if the OP was looking to flip the cards he sent in either but I could be wrong.
