It was a compliment.

Oh thank you lol. I'm sorry to have assumed it was meant to be negative. I've had posters constantly in the past tell me how I was wrong simply because of my age and figured this was another one of those.

Well you were wrong about what Rman was trying to say. I blame your age.

If you bought in before the run up you will be fine. It's a correction not a collapse. People will still be buying but prices will be at more realistic levels. People on both ends are being dramatic.

Basic economics will tell you that firms enter and exit all the market all the time but in the long run it will find equilibrium. In the short term we were not in equilibrium but as long as you didn't leverage yourself too far these past couple years you will be fine and others will be as well. Everything else is deadweight.
I agree with the gist of what you wrote, but valuations were the product of market forces. Market conditions have changed, therefore prices and valuations have changed. The underlining reasons for SVB failing affects the market.

But a key thing that needs to be considered is the manipulation that was going on during the pandemic that created false impressions in the market and fraudulent market data. That's a big factor in why prices have dropped so much -- they were at least partially a product of pump-and-dump schemes.

FTX is somehow worse than imagined.

I don't disagree with what you wrote. I also don't think the manipulation of these markets were hidden though. (If we want to stick with cards) How many threads has there been about shilling and alterations these last three years? While these will always be issues with in the hobby it's been especially prevalent with the recent new wave of people joining during the start of the pandemic. It's one of the reasons why the extreme growth over the last few years didn't seem real, because it wasn't.

So to the original point, no, the collapse of SVB really doesn't have much to do with the card market. The manipulation in pricing from shilling and alterations has a lot more to do with card valuations and its finally correcting.

If you are really that concerned about your investments its because you didn't open your eyes the last few years. I'm not going to sit here and tell anyone that I didn't do any investing, (because I'd argue if you were completely sitting out these last couple years you were also losing out on an opportunity to make a good amount of money) but if you completely overleveraged yourself then yes I would panic.

Business will continue to operate and a correction will happen.

What are the underlying reasons for SVB failing?

I'm not but interesting that the warning would be posted to a forum that notably lacks Ukrainians. Which is what prompted my earlier questions.

Can you clarify this please? Why is half capitalized and what hasn't been counted?

No reason. I think it's all been counted.
