This marked my initial experience with the eBay Authenticity program. I waited for over two weeks to receive the item, as it was shipped across the country before being diverted for a couple of days and then finally rerouted to my address. While the process seemed somewhat excessive for a graded card, I was quite pleased to acquire it and for less than $300 fixed, perhaps due to the holder. As a novice collector, I have yet to invest more than $400 in a single collectible. Nonetheless, I am satisfied with the items I have purchased thus far.

My primary concern with eBay's authenticity program lies in the fact that it might be more suitably reserved for higher-value cards. Lower-value cards, after all, would still fall under the protection of eBay's return policy, rendering the additional authentication measures potentially superfluous for such items.

For my baseball HOF vintage RC's I am now complete from 1969 - 1980. Well, I have most of the other rookies from 1980 - 1990, but it gets more complicated! I have the 1968 Bench, but to push back it gets pretty expensive. Need to Ryan and Seaver RC's so this will be a long process!

I agree with your assessment of EBay’s authentication program. And, nice 56 Mays! I find the case eBay uses a waste of cardboard and I wonder what % of them are immediately discarded. I know that’s what I do with mine except for one I gave my wife who is a pack rat and converted it into a picture frame.

Those Kareems are nice. As a Celtic fan back then I despised him but those are some classic looking cards.

The 69 ryan is a bucket list card for me. And the mantle is for the 67 set I’m building. The other 2 were just awesome cards.

These were found recently while cleaning out my Grandma's house. They were my Uncle's, who didn't have much interest in them after a quick look-through for nostalgia's sake. He gave them to me knowing I'm a card nerd/collector. Most of his stuff was 1960's baseball, but he had 12 Kahn's "The Weiner the World Awaited" cards that turn out to be very rare. These 2 from 1961 are apparently pretty sought after. I'm deciding who to send them into grading with since I've never graded before, but PSA has graded less than 100 total of both of them.

Local card show was a bust as many tables were way overpriced and nothing that I felt I needed.... until one of the last tables I got to where I made a deal at a pretty great price for this beauty! Another checkmark off the want list!

Well today's mailday topped the acquisition from my above post yesterday. A few years ago I didn't think this would ever be a possibility, but with some strong sales this spring training and completing a personal goal outside of cards I knew I needed this as soon as I saw it up for auction on ebay. The color and centering blew me away for a 1.5 and I could not be happier. The most I have spent on a card x3, but it is a dream come true!

Just got a 50 card vintage order back from SGC. Some pleasant and some not so pleasant surprises. But overall about what I expected.

I was particularly happy with this Huggins getting a 2. And the Rose getting a 9 was nice too. Here's just a few from that submission.

I appreciate the posts! This has been the goal recently, checking off some grails funded by spring training sales of modern cards. Gotta love when prospects can turn into cards like this!!!
