Don't think I have actually posted this one before in the thread.
2022 Topps Pristine Superfractor 1/1.
He has two images in the product, but this one is the ASG version (the other is in his Angels uniform).
His first ASG, and first in history to play as two way player, so the card is pretty special to me.

I want to complete the rainbow someday, but feel it's impossible with some of the rare parallels like Pink /15, red /5 (x2 for encased and normal red), and Black which is another 1/1.
I hate the fact that they made two 1/1s in this.

And yeah, the pink /10 addition really screwed with rainbow builders

Thanks! And yeah, it took me three copies to get to one that had a chance to gem. Nines are fine, especially for stadium club paper

So what happened with the Phil Nevin quotes from a week ago, where he insisted that Ohtani would be rejoining Angels camp, I think after the WBC quarter finals? By all accounts, Ohtani will be in the lineup tomorrow vs Mexico. If Japan wins tomorrow, and Ohtani stays with Japan, does anyone _really_ think he won't be pitching in the championship game?

He said he wouldn't be a starting pitcher in the Semis or Finals cause he's starting March 24th in Spring Training to lineup for a opening day start

Which I totally get, but come on. Having him as the opening day starter instead of game 3 or 4 or whatever MAY get the team one extra start out of him over the course of the season. And of course it's great PR etc. But in the grand scheme of things, that's small potatoes. Let the man pitch for his country.

Not being the starting pitcher doesn't necessarily mean he won't be pitching. Darvish came out of the pen in the last game right?

Yu was the closer in the 2009 classic after Ichiro put them in the lead. Probably the best game I've attended in my life. Sho as a closer would be nuts.
