New BGS turnaround time tracker

For RPAs and thick cards, can I send the cards in to BGS in a one-touch? I really don't want to take them out, put in a sleeve, put in a thick top-loader in case I damage it in the process. Anyone have any thoughts on this? TIA

In the same boat as you. Mine was submitted 11/29 and is a 10 card order.

Messaged my sales rep and got the same sort of screenshot with the final verification language. If I don't get anything else to come through by Wednesday I'm planning to reach back out and get things expedited.

You can submit them in a one touch. I usually put a thing of painter's tape around it horizontally and vertically to secure it further. It's fine.

I sent another email today. The response was "Unfortunately, there's no specific timeframe, it depends on the number of orders ahead of you on queue. We'll surely send email confirmation once order is complete." Very disappointing. I like them the most for autograph authentication but may have to reconsider for future use considering they are almost a month overdue at this point.

Is it common for an order to be invoiced but on the site it shows 0/0 cards received and every other field N/A?

I sent in an order 2 weeks ago. I got an email saying the process has started. I noticed they charged the amount to my credit card. I checked on the status online and it still saying invoicing stage. I check my credit card account yesterday and I noticed BGS charged my account less then what I sent in for .

Currently on business day 19 for my standard $40/card order and the BGS tracker still shows it in the invoicing stage. A $19 bulk PSA order with 5x the cards that I submitted the same day already popped, no wonder this company is dying.

I've not submitted much to BGS but my submission that I sent in late December showed 0/0 and N/A for everything else for quite a long time (before that, the order didn't show at all for weeks). It now at least shows the number of cards sent in which makes me feel better that they actually have my cards.

As an update: I messaged my sales rep late last week. He sent a note off internally and it looks like my grades showed up in the pop report today. Still waiting for an email to say they've shipped, but pretty happy with the customer service throughout (even though the delays are a bit annoying). Got some decent grades, too, so that doesn't hurt

I'm pretty disappointed with how long this BAS order is taking. It's about a month overdue now. BGS is honestly shooting themselves in the foot. PSA has the highest return, SGC has the quickest turnaround and best customer service (in my opinion), CSG just teamed up with COMC. I thought Beckett had the best autograph service with BAS. Now with them taking so long I am not sure when I may use them again. Beckett really isn't bringing anything to the table right now and it is disappointing.

The only thing Beckett brings to the table is the hope of getting a Pristine 10 or Black label.

My order was received on 12/2 and 45 days was February 8th. It’s a more than a month overdue now. I’d probably be less annoyed if they didn’t charge until they were done, but since they charge upon receipt I have $1000 in authentication fees gone while I wait and wait for them to return.

Yea the waiting game sucks. My last 100 card BAS order (last fall) took about 12-13 weeks so you should be close.

Getting another BAS submission sent out tomorrow I hope.

How did you keep the cards in such good shape getting signed? Did you get the Jagr's and Hasek's signed at the Expo?

I find all my auto cards that I send into signings get just trashed haha.

Yeah, at the Expo, so it's been quite the journey. Can't share anything specific, but I was very careful when handing them over and getting them back. I was also earlier in the overall signing process, so maybe that helped.

I did also get a Chronology 1 in 100 patch of Jagr signed by him, but the auto didn't come out super clean because of the glossy stock. Still a sweet card, though, and I'll get it graded some day. Decided to skip it for now.

I originally submitted the Hasek's to PSA but they completely missed the mark on them in terms of card grade, and I knew it.

Nice. Yea probably slightly easier to maintain card condition if you're there in person... a couple less people handling the cards helps.

I think I got 4 9s and an 8. I didn't expect them all to gem, but I did expect 1-2 to, at least. Didn't expect an 8 whatsoever. The Ali got a 7... so, yeah. They're so inconsistent that I just want to avoid them at all costs now. With Beckett I've never found them to be off by more than .5 in a subgrade. The transparency and consistency is refreshing.

Two of them will be available when they arrive. I'll be keeping one of the true gems for myself. DM me if interested.
