Just as I post it, we see Lucchesi, Curtiss and Ruf playing.

The way Locastro has played in spring training he deserves a roster spot over Pham, and Ruf as the 4th OF.

Hey I was celebrating Rodgers to the Jets, so I took a darkness retreat. I miss anything?

Robertson will step into the closers role for now, and hopefully the guys who are pitching well in ST make the roster and fill it in nicely. Yacabonis is looking good, Hunter is looking good, Curtiss, and a couple of others. They'll weather this storm.

Mets adding Dylan Bundy as a depth piece on a minor league deal is a good move. Also happy to see Hunter make the team to start the year. He deserves it. Only a couple of roster question marks left to start the year.

1)Scherzer
2)Verlander
3)Senga
4)Carrasco
5)Peterson
6)Nido
7)Alonso
8)McNeil
9)Lindor
10)Escobar
11)Marte
12)Nimmo
13)Canha
14)Guillorme
15)Vogelbach
16)Pham
17)Narvaez
18)Robertson
19)Smith
20)Raley
21)Hunter
22)Ottavino
23)Curtiss
24)Brigham?
25)Nogosek? Yacabonis? Claudio?
26)Santana? Ruf? Vientos? Baty?

The kiddie corps (Baty-Vientos-Alvarez-Mauricio) were all sent to AAA...Like last year with Cano, Ruf will start year as RH DH and if he bombs, then they will cut bait with him...he'll have a short leash, maybe a few weeks, just like Cano...

Locastro makes a lot more sense right now.

Speed, defense and who knows...maybe his bat has taken a slight bit forward after having one of his best springs. Regardless...Ruf has been brutal and with the arthritis, he's not getting better.

100% with the arthritis. That's not going to go away and locastro is a good defensive player even when he's not hitting.

Looks like Peterson is getting the last rotation spot as well. Well deserved.

Eppler at least owned up and called it bad trade that didn't work out...Expect a short leash on Voggy at LH DH as well, he can't be hitting .200 with no HR's come May...

I don't know why anyone is concerned about Verlander. Minor strain. Not a big deal. He'll be back in no time. And with the 3 of their first 5 series against the Marlins or Athletics, I see no reason why they won't cruise through the first 2 weeks.

JV "Injury" aside, nice series win vs division opponent...Senga looked as good as advertised after a shaky first inning...Win the next series and come home 5-2... LFGM

Ruf is officially a former Met. Start a big series against the Brewers today. Gotta keep winning series, and keep that ball rolling. The East will not be an easy victory. Helps to see the Phillies struggle out of the gate.

Max on the mound to try and get things even...just flush this one and move one...little concerned that the offense is going to keep being hit or miss...the bottom of the lineup continues to be an offensive wasteland just like last year...

I can’t imagine what it’s like to be a ball player and just get moved around from team to team. Sure, it happens all the time, but I can’t imagine getting used to that feeling.

Ruf didn’t help the offense, but I feel bad for the guy.

What an absolute trash series this is so far. getting outscored 15-0 through 15 innings. Edit to make it 19-0 through 16 innings
