Topps has been consistently terrible at communication and launch timing with everything for the past year plus, but this whole Topps Chrome Tennis thing is a new low. We are creeping up on 1 year since we learned about this with zero communication outside of Caty McNally posting a pic of her auto card 6 months ago. Crazy. |

Maybe some one can ask about this at the Industry Summit next week.

This set reminds me of 2021 SP Authentic golf. Auto's from that set were obviously signed for possibly a couple years before release, and the back of the cards conveniently don't show a year.

Yeah I'm hoping we'll hear an update about this at the industry summit. It's so strange there's been zero news on this. I have a feeling they're going to scrap it and then use the cards later for a transcendent tennis box or something.

So, they said it was delayed bc of how long it takes to negotiate individual signing deals. No duh Topps. I'm betting on next year sometime. The good news is it sounds like they are putting effort into getting some of the top guys. |

It will include the top 4 players, what exactly do you think this means?

It's great news to hear acknowledgement that the product exists, even if the release date is still a complete mystery. |

I might have missed it but I haven’t seen anything saying it will include the top 4 players. The link above says the top tour players which is pretty generic. I’d be surprised if Djokovic or Nadal has cards. Federer seems the most likely given he’s been in other Topps products. I think this product will more likely be flop than a POTY candidate although i hope I am proven wrong.

Any chance Carlos Alcaraz in this product?

Just a feeling, but I think Netpro will have most of the top 10 players' cards available by the time this is ready to go. I know they were aiming for some cards to come out this month...
Can Topps postdate a product to 2021 if it's released in 2024? It matters bc Alcaraz's rookie card is 2022 as of now. |
