The only one I would consider out of expectations was the Parrish. That one graded one grade lower, I would have guessed 7. The topps maddux has a good chance of a 10 on a resub, probably just got the wrong side of coin flip.
The other vintage were one grade lower which is inline with how CSG grades vintage compared to SGC/PSA. They fall in line with BVG grading. At least you did these with green label CSG. They eased things up on modern since going to the black labels. You got some nice cards! Thanks for sharing, always enjoy cross over results. |

That '56 Jackie...been there done that. Cracked an SGC, PSA rejected, sub'd back to SGC, and they actually bumped it 0.5 the 2nd time.
Looking at the '87 Maddux, I wonder how picky they are. That tiny print flaw just off the tip of his nose. Also looks like in the PSA scan there are white dots showing up, but I don't see it in your photo. Possible minor issue with the gloss / surface quality? Hard to pick up anything else. Parish. Print 'snow'? PSA scan is pretty bright so it's hard to see if there's any print issue that might have dropped the grade. Looks good for a 6! |

Thanks for sharing. Such a farce that PSA decided a year ago to finally have standards. A year ago, people were routinely cracking green CSG 8.5s and getting PSA 10s.

But the downside is their are so many butthurt sellers, like you, trying to take a shot any time someone makes a post. The OP shared his results, when he didn't have to. |

I agree 100%. I enjoy this space for the most part, mostly reading information, but the handful of times I do comment, I am almost immediately ridiculed and even bullied. This place can be toxic, no question. You can always block the clowns, but in their way they also provide good information, albeit clownish.

Except for the parrish and the N6, pretty much everything is still more valuable in the PSA slabs with the lower grades than in the CSG ones....

The Maddux pair definitely take a hit as 9s.
I just sold a PSA 9 today for nearly double what I paid for a CSG 9 that I cracked & submitted expecting the PSA-9 grade. But I also have a CSG 10 that just failed an actual crossover attempt with PSA, so that's a big miss. Can't win 'em all, but the game is always fun. |

Theres a PSA 8 Jerry Rice RC up for auction right now in a really old holder, the thing looks trashed, like a PSA 6 right now. |

No clear winners but aside from the Jackie which probably has a decent chance of getting a numeric grade at SGC, there's no real losers here

There was a poster on these boards who had a raw Jerry Rice RC that likely looked better than the PSA 8 you’re referring to.

re scottishpunk: I thought that you could not resub to PSA... that they had some system to know if they saw the card before?
Yeah, I was hoping for a 7 on that Parish. Last edited by mrgant; 02-24-2023 at 06:56 AM. |

re moneychrome20: No... all of these were from my PC that I decided to crack and sub to PSA (aside from the topps maddux which I did buy on ebay). I was looking to sell a bunch after the PSA mark.

![]() It could also do with personal experiences... Do you think PSA earned the name Please Submit Again for its consistency? |
