Congrats on the super! Looks like a good break. I still think I'm struggling to see the value at anything $225 a box or higher but looks fun.

That said, my case should be here tomorrow and we all know that is getting busted

I think it’s going to be difficult to justify ripping at that price. The insert color stuff really doesn’t sell as well as one might think and naturally Julio/Witt color is few and far between. Baller still doesn’t have a wide ranging embrace from the community. I had a blast on my 2 boxes but won’t be buying anymore.

I don't know. Probably short-lived but boxes are tipping $250. Looks like BO is sold out for the moment. Anything with Julio or Witt is just not staying at a low price at the moment.

I went from wanting this product to just kind of peace out and disappear to wishing Topps would do a Baller Update run and I'm not even remotely joking. I just want the black refractor update base set. Not just for Julio, Witt & Tork - there's a boatload of quality arms + Seiya, Pena, Abrams, Alek Thomas, Kwan, Miranda, Arias, Stott, Melendez and on down the line. Just a nice smattering of at least potentially nice RC logo guys that need Black Refractor base.

PSA:

Make sure you guys check your Ridin Low inserts for parallels. The only color difference is the bottom of the nameplate. I just noticed my trout was /10.

I'll cosign this. I pulled a Witt /75 and the only thing that tipped me off was that there were two Ridin' Low inserts in that same pack and I figured one of them had to be special. No discernible difference until seeing /75 and then the little blue stripe.

Thank you - even after reading and lining mine up, it took me several minutes to pick up the Tork to see it is o8/10.

My 5 boxes were pretty great, and I think my expectations for final auction results are reasonable. Among many, many color (but no base Jrod or Witt) I got:

Jrod Die Cut /25

Abrams base SP
Pena Auto /50
Jrod 1987 gold /50 (looks perfect, going to PSA)
Wisdom/5
Chapman and Arozarena /10

And I think pretty good collation and quality on all the base. Had a blast opening, and think that since a couple of those will pay for the boxes I picked up a few more for a rainy day.

I feel your pain bud. I sell mine to my LCS...or take them to local card shows. If i do sell on ebay it's in lots. Don't buy anything from the US anymore...i search Cdn sellers for singles. Less of a selection but that's the reality now on ebay.

Does it make any sense for you to set up one of those forward mailboxes people from overseas use?

Honest question, I don't know the cost or the specifics of what you get, but I do see what's happening sometimes when I make a sale through one. Maybe you could do one US mail day a month or something.

Good luck either way, I hesitate for a minute but will buy from Canadian sellers up to about $50.

I'm lucky in a sense that I can still buy from US sellers because my finacée lives in the States. Though if too many packages come in she starts raising questions haha.

Yeah...... happy I have more boxes coming, I don't care if I don't profit, this stuff is great even if I break even and make buyers happy with my .99 auction listings and get some free PC cards out of it. I'd say there is a very high floor just listing colors and inserts.... and the base are excellent and relatively SP.

These cards are a joy to own even if I'm not going to keep them.

got my boxes in yesterday and ripped one box and wow, i am a fan. The black just makes the cards pop

Bummed I didnt order the max, but just didnt know what to expect.

Already buying more off secondary market.

so i guess ill add to the pump. not sure if they will hold value, but I dont care, as a collector and a fan of ripping wax, this set checks all the boxes for me.
