Excited about this one too! I've pre-ordered one case and thinking about ordering another. Should be a fun rip at a reasonable price...which is pretty rare these days.

No one specific, hopefully pull a Bears player retroactively. Otherwise just happy to break some Topps wax and eventually put together a set.

Anyone you're hoping to pull?

Got my case pre-ordered, may get more after I break it if it looks good, is fun and seems worth it.

Those were some awesome chase cards. Never pulled anyone PC and they were always too pricey to go after on the secondary. I eat up the collegiate stuff. At least I did until Panini got the license and made so much of it. We don't necessarily need a college version of every single release.

Yes.

Panini really watered it down by lazily turning their pro brands/designs into "Draft Picks" or "Collegiate". What I like most about Bowman U is that it's 100% guys about to go pro or NIL still in school. Doing college cards of guys in the NFL is fine but I don't want every product polluted with it. Especially products whose designs I've already seen recently or will see again very soon.

I will reserve my right to complain if Topps comes out with a Bowman Chrome Pro using the exact same design or in the future infect ALL their college stuff with pros in college uniforms. Distinctive products help build brand reputations and followings. Panini feels like one long unending set with almost infinite subsets and parallels.

These are going to go brazy if Panini taps out on this year's NIL licenses. Lord knows they probably should, considering they're a full calendar year behind on everything else. Nothing better than a $1250 floor on airbrushed Flawless pelican cases.

Imagine if these are the only licensed college kardz before the draft. Just imagine.

Panini being panini definitely helps. There’s no way they put out a college product before the draft - that’s huge for this release.

Anyone in the draft you sell somewhere from now-draft weekend. Any of the guys who will be in college this year can either be sold right away, or held until the college season.

There aren’t many products that carry 0 risk when breaking cases - this is one of them.

I am bummed out they left Tanner McKee out of this, I really think he could turn out to be a real sleeper

Amen.

Was fun making decent money flipping collegiate Prizm singles on draft night 2 years ago. When Goodell called Ceedee to Dallas...it was $$$.

A little more than a week away. I'm excited.

I’m on record as really liking last years version which had PAPER base and was NOT LICENSED. I STILL made money on the cases I ripped from last year.

How in earth is THIS year’s CHROME and LICENSED product priced where it is? Only my limited cash supply is stopping me from buying 10 cases. For months to come and possibly longer I can’t conceive how you wouldn’t make money on this and still build the chrome base set and keep some singles for the PC.

As a PSU fan are you serious I can get Drew Allar and Nick Singleton? For my sake I hope people sleep on this product so prices stay down for a little while. Because right now dare I say this is the ONLY fairly priced or I may even say underpriced football wax on the market.

Can’t wait for this release. Seriously can’t wait. Lots of REALLY good draft and still in college prospects in this set.

I just ordered a hobby case, 5 extra hobby boxes and 15 blasters.
Fingers crossed for some good hits!

I’m torn between buying a blaster case or hobby. Besides getting a guaranteed 24 autos which is the way to go. We don’t know the print run. Are blasters getting a #card a blaster?

Will blasters really be as good this time around or will it be the old Topps dipsy doo?

Yeah, the guaranteed 24 autos out of a 100 card set means pretty good odds to get some of the top autos. I almost bought a blaster case but I know your odds to hit autos are not that good, and I really like getting autos.

I sort of hedged my bets. With the case I bought and the 5 extra hobby boxes, I am guarantted 34 autos and a bunch of good #'d stuff. The blaster boxes are just a chance for me to get some other types of parallels and such and hopefully another auto or two, plus I like that not all of it is coming from the same case, so hope to get more of a mix

2022 Bowman U had hobby odds of 1:25 and retail odds of 1:75 for a Chrome Prospect Auto per pack printed odds. All non-hobby exclusive cards were roughly 3x harder to hit on a per pack basis for retail than hobby. I don't know what the odds are this year beyond 2 autos per hobby box.

Draft night is one of my favorite things all year (as it relates to cards). Love following who goes where, and watching guys that go to the cowboys, packers, Steelers, etc jump in value. Lots of fun.

The ceedee example is perfect.

Nice thing about this is breakers won’t touch it, so price should be fairly reasonable I’d think. If breakers were into it, I think the price would jump quite a bit.

And I’m with you, I did really well with last years - which as you mentioned had paper base and no license.

My body is ready….but I think it got pushed back to feb 22.

Having logos makes a world of difference. Night and day.

I've never heard of him but a rainbow chase on Kool-Aid McKinstry sounds like a must.

Im debating on best way to move base cards - make sets or do player lots? I figured with baseball you can make more with player lots but sometimes get suck with a bunch of guys that wont sell. Any thoughts?

Does anyone buy base card sets still? And what would a 100 card base card set go for? I may try to put one together for old times sakes. I remember as a kid trying to get all 792 of my Topps baseball to complete the set. 100 seems much easier, and more quality players

(Almost) no one buys base card sets.
