Here are some screen caps of other stamped 1/1s from the set (not mine), plus two screen caps from 2014-2015 when seller bristolcollectibles was selling the backdoored 1/1s without the stamp.

Most of the backdoored set was BGS graded IIRC.

I love that this card as a PSA 8 sold for $545.

I have the un-numbered one, but PSA still graded it as 'Parallel'

So far, January 2023 has proven to be FAR better than ALL of 2022 for my Canseco collection! Finally, I have something to write a TL;DR post about!

Joe Lagreca landed an absolute monster. The 1996 Ultra HR King Jose Canseco *exchange back*. Y'all, this is big news. There are supercollectors I know that have hunted this for DECADES and haven't even seen it. According to baseballcardpedia.com, Fleer didn't like how the foil printed on the wood fronts, so instead of scrapping them, they put an "exchange" form on the back, and packed them out.

Last year, one popped up, and I missed it. That stung, because for years, everytime I would see an HR King Gold Medallion, I'd click the listing, and see if it was an Exchange back. Never once did I run into one.

Then Joe pulled one! I compared it to the one that sold last year, and thought the one that sold was faded. When mine came in yesterday, after I wiped the tears of joy from my eyes, I noticed something. Mine is SUPER glossy.

So I change my vote - I think that the one that sold last year was a different method Fleer used to make the set "work" without having to make it an exchange - mayhaps they didn't apply varnish to that version? I dunno.

In any event, I'm over the moon to have perhaps Canseco's rarest Red Sox card ever, and the fact that it is wood to differentiate it from other cards is the cherry on top - exactly the kind of card I want in my collection!

When I first got back into the hobby in 2016, my “side project” was picking up rare inserts/parallels from the 90s I always wanted as a kid. With grading prices coming down, I decided to sub a handful of my Vlads for the PC and here’s a quick sample:

I was just reading about these on the 90's FB group. I guess they are pretty darn tough, only 2 known copies of the Griffey out there.

Scroll to the bottom for info on them.
