Would people benefit from sending these to BBCE immediately if they plan to hold long-term?

Topps could introduce fancy sealed case packaging and sell with an upcharge if they knew what they were doing.
It's not that they don't know what they are doing. Just that cases of cards were never meant to remain sealed. They were designed to be opened and the boxes sold. A sealed case is just a shipping method to them.

My two orders of 5 arrived. Wasn’t the greatest (in terms of value back) break opened 7 of them. No numbered top rookies. No Julio’s until the last box pulled a base. Also did hit a Superfractor of rookie combos royals pitchers. Fun rip quality is so so none of the big cards are grade-able

If that's the case, then why do they only contain 10 boxes? Wouldn't it have made much more sense to have many more boxes in them instead of just 10?

I think one aspect, at least with Panini is that there is such a thing as case hits which brings a premium. While I do think these are considered cases by terminology, the lack of a "case hit" might be a reason that we also don't see a premium from what I see in terms of ebay sales. 10 Lots are going for same price of "sealed case"

Because it's easier to sell/move a case of 10 rather than a case of 500.

Ahh yes. Mine finally moved from Georgia after 4 days and arrived in Mississippi. Now it says “shipment exception”. Glorious.

My first order of 10 boxes was delivered less then 24 hours after I received the “Delivery exception” status update.

Topps is well aware people like to hold cases. Otherwise why offer both loose boxes and sealed cases of the same product on its website.

Then cases would have 40 same as other mega boxes since customers bypass purchase limits anyway.

Most of the recent Sapphire releases have been packaged in 10-box cases (with case info printed on the box, not on a sticker). Don't know why, but that's what Topps chose....

Why does Frito Lay have 12 bags of chips in a sealed case of barbecue potato chips? You are reading way too much into sealed boxes of cards as if they are different than other products.

I'm guessing it's simply the fact that they have been pumping out a whole bunch of releases lately, trying to catch up and get the rest of the 2022 stuff out in the wild, and it has led to some quality issues and probably some hurried/different packaging as well.

We've been seeing cases with white labels (no typical barcoded carton) for some time now. At least as far back as the 50 pack 21 Bowman Draft 1st ed and Ginter X or some other online release.
