I'm glad you hit the Pujols...I was hoping for one of them myself but I have no claim to St. Louis fandom (I think the card gods knew).
Thanks man, I was definitely fist pumping with the Pujols color pull
You're right, the 2 boxes didn't get me that far into a complete set and at least I got one of the Julios knocked out.

Thanks for sharing; this will temper expectations.

No Julio, Witt, etc. Best rookies were Hunter Greene and Steven Kwan.

Some cards had wrinkles on the back. First two cards in every pack in 3 of the boxes were cut 90/10 top to bottom.

So yeah, hype as needed but plenty of duds out there.

That's a good idea! What if you get duds on the first 5 boxes? You are not going to be tempted to open the rest? That's always my problem.

Free is good.

Very true, keeping that Pujols though! I don't like selling on ebay anymore so maybe I'll throw those up here in the marketplace. Now the biggest question will be when to grab the other Julio base...

Great point, I have a great deal of experience with dud boxes continuing for me in the past, so that helps with the discipline.

If they get past $250 I’d be hard pressed not to sell at least some sealed. I of course could never afford to drop $1290 on ten sealed but if I did I would probably sell eight at $250, rip two for the dopamine hit, then splurge a Hundo or 2 on some tasty parallels of 2nd/ 3rd tier RC I like.
So
something like $500 free cash plus a few gold/orange rookie heaters and a couple boxes to remind myself how bad my wax luck is

You deserve a free chicken dinner, both for what Topps just put you through and also for the heroic act of providing much-needed perspective here. Thanks man, and may luck be in your favor in your next break.

You hit one of the main chase cards, Kwan.

Just opened my two boxes.

Base rookies of note: Suzuki, Greene, Abrams, Abrams RD, Melendez RD, Marsh RD

Color: Alek Thomas Green /75, Alex Faedo Green /75, Mike Brosseau Gold /50, & Josh Staumont Red /5

Overall not a bad rip I don't think. Though I would have loved a couple other main rookie base cards.

The gap should only widen a bit. We’re talking about a base card with a PR of 2k?

Took one for the team on this one. My single box had ZERO of the base top RC's or RD's and my color was a Heliot Ramos RD ORANGE and Joe Kelly GREEN. You're welcome guys. Haha...
