1. On-card autos
2. Smaller checklist =>Better breaks
3. Steven Kwan (possibly some other guys too)

Also, here's some considerations with the lower price-point:

1. More product ripped => More top $ cards hitting eBay => If strong sales, higher box prices
2. More product ripped => Less available supply => Higher box prices
3. More product being purchased on the secondary by big 3 + group breakers => Less available supply => Higher box prices

Not only are group breakers going to make a killing with these boxes, they're going to create even more demand for them.

Maybe something like this will make the Julio Update Sapphire more popular than his regular Sapphire. Haha

Here's my hermanotarjeta logic (without bending over friends):

For the base/parallel cards, I'd prefer TC Sapphire over TCU Sapphire strictly because the former came first.

For autos, TCU Sapphire wins.

For ripping/flipping/holding, TCU Sapphire wins because it's a better bang for the buck (lower price-point, better break and better chase cards).

Pretty accurate, as long as the autos are not sticker.

How has your collecting budget so far this year allowed you to purchase 30 boxes?

I thought you only used profits earned for your card purchases? I have heard it has been tough times for flippers recently. Have you had to dig in to your 2022 funds?

At $129.99, I think this product was too cheap. Now it's lost its premium image. It also greatly undercuts TCS, which was nearly double the price.

I could literally walk into my LCS and buy a random hobby box for twice as much money -- not that I'd want to, but I have several times the last couple of years.

I guess this signals the retreat for Topps -- sales of TCS must have been poor. They need the flippers to buy and hawk their products -- not a good sign.

I expect everything from Topps going forward to be cheaper. If not, I'm not buying. I'm certainly not buying scalper prices on the secondary market. Lol

I would love to find TCS cheaper and flooded somewhere. Unfortunately I don’t think it’s going to happen.

I think the actual price was closer to $150, but they marked it down to $130 to compensate for taxes and shipping.

I've got a count of at least 68 boxes for pre-sale on eBay -- all above $200.

130point says 29 eBay sales already of all but a few at $200 or more.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about Baseball Card culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in Hobby's where you can become successful by being an #@#@#@#@#@#@#@. If you screw someone over, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is the Baseball card public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase Topps Chrome Update Sapphire nor will they purchase any of Topps Future releases. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Topps has alienated an entire market with this move.

Topps, publicly apologize and cancel Topps Chrome Update Sapphire or you can kiss your business goodbye.
