For sure when you compare TCS at 250. Maybe Topps don't want a repeat in terms of the collecting community's attitude towards TCS. Granted it's a second sapphire card of the big rookies but the chance at their sapphire parallels plus autos and the nearly half price of TCS makes this a no brainer.

Call me crazy, but I feel like these "second" Sapphire cards, which will match their actual first flagship base cards, may end up being more desirable in the long run than the "but it released a month earlier!" first Sapphire cards.

Hopefully they ship out. Pretty easy to see why it sold out in a little under an hour. Just the people in this thread alone probably bought thousands. With a limit of 10 per account, lower price than anticipated, easy checkout process. At $150 and 3-5 per account I think these last many hours if not all day. But for most people there is a big difference between spending $150 per box and making $5-$15 versus spending $130 and making $25-$35 a box.

Allen Ginter X most would agree was a solid price at $75 per box. It lasted around 7 hours. Mainly because the limit was 3 per account. If it was 10 per account, they would have sold out much faster.

Haha, I honestly love it. People no longer automatically buy Topps products so it gives an advantage (extra time) to those who've been around and can identify deals when they do pop up.

A strategy of alternating “shoot for the moon” a few times followed by re-engage fomo mode appears to be the short term plan from the powers that be.
While it may create szchizo card community it looks like it’s working maybe.

The last sentence makes a great point I think. There is certainly no more “buy everything” atmosphere but for those with historical product knowledge and the ability to discern good content from bad it sets up nicely for educated card folks.

I missed out purposely. With only 32 cards per box, a 330 card set list, no guaranteed autos (and they probably will be far and few) it would take 30+ boxes at over $4000 to possibly build a set or land just 1 auto. Granted, sapphire cards are nice and on card autos are nice, but at these odds and the money spent, this was an easy pass. I'm in the minority on this thread but I'll spend my money on Bowman's Best.

I don't think you understand how sealed works. Applying logic through breaking assumptions is useless.
