Binged Alice in Borderlands Season 2.

It was decent, a bit slower than the 1st season.
Interesting games, a few surprises
Overall I liked Season 1 a little better.

I watched a couple of Disney+ shows over the holiday.

I finished The Santa Clauses. Enjoyed it even if it was extremely cheesy. Really liked the references to LOST even though they were also cheesy. The first two movies and this series are a joy. I could do without the 3rd movie though.

I also watched the episodes of National Treasure that were up. Really liked this too. It's unfortunate people are going to probably call it woke trash because the leads are women.

Also watched Season 2 of the Mighty Ducks show. Again really enjoyed this in all it's cheesiness too. And while it's stupid to think you can get good at something without truly working hard at it I do like the message of not taking sports as seriously as some people do.

Tulsa King first 8 episodes. I think there's one more coming (season finale). And damn that show is good. By far the best i've seen from Stallone in decades. And i still can't believe how good he looks for 75.

I agree thou... Good show. Perfect role for Stallone to play at this age

Was going to watch 1899 over the next couple of days, but I just saw this morning that Netflix canceled it.

Is it worth watching knowing that they story most likely won't be finished?

I tried watching the first episode but couldn't get past the overdubbing and abandoned it. (money heist did an amazing job at overdubbing a tv show, the best i've seen) But one of my friends liked 1899 so i dunno you might like it.

I finished watching a bunch of titles in 2022. My personal favs from the year....

Snowfall (Disney+)
Dead to me (Netflix)
Sex lives of College Girls (Crave) pretty short written by Mindy Kaling
Yellowstone/1883 (1923 sucks) (Paramount)
Emily in Paris (Netflix)
Peaky Blinders (Netflix)

I actually didn't watch too many new shows this year. I think my favorites are

All of Us Are Dead (Netflix)
Winning Time (HBO Max)
Peacemaker (HBO Max)
The Summer I Turned Pretty (Amazon Prime)
Ms. Marvel (Disney+)
Orville Season 3 was brilliant. Probably the best thing I watched this year in terms of series (Hulu and Disney+)
Only Murders In the Building (Hulu...I watched both seasons this year and loved them)
The Boys Season 3 (great twists in this one...Amazon Prime)

I did watch some older shows I had never seen before and loved

Stitchers - Loved this show and the premise. Too bad it was cancelled.
Kyle XY - Loved this show as well.

I read that you have to watch with subtitles for everything to make sense, because there are multiple languages spoken, and the language barrier apparently plays into the show.

I just don't like the idea of getting invested and then have it end on a cliffhanger!

I liked the second season, especially the ending-o-rama they presented in the finale. It seems like they tried out every idea they had for revealing the mystery purpose of the games before they decided on the one they eventually went with.
I'm looking forward to meeting "The Joker", in season 3 if they go for it.

Orville Season 3

I recently had a long flight to and from Scotland and loaded up Orville season 3.

I wanted to share my thoughts on third season of the show and compare it to the previous two seasons. While I know that everyone has their own opinions and preferences, I personally found that the third season did not live up to the high standards set by the first two seasons.

There are too many obvious attempts to inject political and left-leaning societal messaging in season 3 concerning contemporary issues, whereas season 1 and 2 focused more on creative and imaginative problems. This isn't to say that I disagree with the politics of the show, but rather I disliked how unnaturally and obviously it was done. You don't have to metaphorically hit me over the head with a 2x4 and ram your messaging down my throat. I prefer my TV shows to be more concerned with plot and character development rather than shoehorning in political messages.

Now, I know that not everyone may agree with my assessment and that's completely okay. Everyone has their own opinions and it's what makes discussions like these so interesting.

Seth is lucky to be in a position to do whatever he wants.
I'm looking forward to the "Ted" prequel series...

Finished The Recruit. Not too bad. Some typical "Netflix" things in it but that's just par for the course.

Netflix scrubbed 1899 after one crappy season.

KALEIDISCOPE (Netflix)
here are eight episodes in total. Some are set before a heist, some after the heist and one episode concerns the heist itself. But here's the thing: you can watch the episodes in any order you like. There's the (randomised) order that Netflix serves up, or any other order you can dream up on a whim.

I recommend watching the PINK episode 8th then White episode last, overall i would give it a 6

some of my faves i watched last yr in no order

Barry
Severance
White Lotus
The Boys
Succession
Euphoria

finally finished last season of House Of Cards, enjoyed whole series tbh

Don’t Pick Up The Phone on netflix is ridiculous. amazing the stupidity of what grown adults in leadership positions will do.

Anyone else watch Avenue 5?

We binged both seasons over the holidays.

Absolutely hilarious! Had us rolling on the ground laughing several times. Reminded me of the old Mel Brooks style slapstick comedy.

Watched Yellow, but haven't binged the rest yet. Interesting premise... I'm wondering how good it's actually going to be.

Yep, we've been watching it. Always was a big House fan so Hugh Laurie sucked us in. I'd say it's pretty funny, has lots of potential. Lots of plot holes that make no sense to the story, but I guess whatever.
