Agreed. Fun to watch and there really wasn't a dull moment in the movie.

Just finished Soft & Quiet, hell of a debut. The people who should be made uncomfortable by it probably won't be.

Del Toro's Pinocchio was really good, a lot of dark stuff in it though(which I love).

Watched The Menu. Not a huge fan.

Watched 30 minutes of Bones and All and had to leave but not my cup of tea.

Aftersun would definitely be on my top 10 list of 2022 if I made such a thing. Another incredible debut, both heartwarming and devastating.

Violent Night was good. At least a half dozen past Christmas movie references in it, some bigger than others.

Just finished You Won't Be Alone, lazy description would be Terrence Malik does The Witch. Definitely worth checking out if you are looking for something Folk Horror.

Brendan Fraser with one of the best performances of the year in The Whale.

But I'm also 10 years older than I was when the first Avatar came out, and now watch the majority of movies on my 77" OLED from the comfort of my couch. So that may have something to do with it.

I give Avatar 2: Electric Boogaloo a 7/10

Glass Onion was trash. People are trying too hard to intertwine political messages into their movies.

I met (more accurately- saw)Boogaloo Shrimp in late 84 breakin in my condo complex in Buena Park on Del Amo next to Knotts Berry Farm.
He had a little entourage. I was pretty starstruck.

We saw "Babylon" at the movies today. This was made by the director of "La La Land" and "Whiplash".

It's kind of like "Boogie Nights" in tone, style, and subject matter while focusing on the regular (as opposed to adult) film industry and being set in the late 20's and early 30's as opposed to the late 70's and early 80's when Dirk Diggler shined brightest.

Terrific acting across the board, with the constant music throughout (although it's not a musical) forming practically another main character, joining the 5 or so actual ones it follows. It has plenty of genuine WTF moments over the 3+ hour running time, and in the end, it's a love letter to cinema, warts and all.

It's going to lose a bunch of money, but I think it'll age well and be considered a classic someday.

Emily the Criminal on Netflix is a good watch. Hadn't heard of it before watching it.

Knives Out was fun. Glass Onion wasn’t. The ending was especially bad. I think Rian has something against sequels.

Watched a decent B movie yesterday. The Contractor. Doesn't have a great IMDB score and is quite predictable but i found it pretty entertaining for having little to no expectations.

Wrong thread for TV shows but just started watching episode 1 of Tulsa King. Seems alright so far.

I enjoyed the Glass Onion.

Edward Norton plays a good prick
