Default Best players to never get a single HOF vote

I was watching this video and guy has some good cases. When you look some older guys based on advanced stats that we use today it shows even more how much sham the HOF is. Guys like Devon White and Frank Tanana are probably better then some guys they are voting in these days and they never got one vote.

I'm not sure if he ever received a vote, but Brett Butler comes to mind. He always seemed to be batting around .300 and stealing 30-40 bases a year. His drag bunts were also a thing of beauty. His defense always seemed solid, but never great as well.

Did Mike Greenwell get any votes? I remember him being a hobby darling for like a year, then his play didn't really drop off but he disappeared from the hobby. He was a stud.

Just put everyone over 40 WAR in the HOF. Voting is silly, let’s make this easy

Interesting....the website I was looking at said he never appeared on a HOF ballot....if true, any votes must have been write in(if that is even allowed).

You know how writers whine about the hall not giving them direction with PEDs and such?

Back then they whined about getting specific direction about what the hall wanted and not leaving it up to the writers.

So, that’s the writers in a nutshell.

Willie Davis, who had over 2,500 hits, didn't even appear on the ballot

I think Javier Vazquez was mentioned in the HoVG thread as never even being on the ballot, and he had 45.6 WAR.

Question wasn’t “who didn’t get a vote, but should be in HOF”.

I met Brett when he was coaching the Reno Aces. He was friendly, generous with his autograph, and posed for pictures with a big smile on his face. Seemed like a real class act.

I wonder if Rick Reuschel had ever gotten any votes. Guy had accumulated close to 70 career WAR but seems to have been forgotten. Maybe had he been born 20 years later he’d be painted in a much more favorable light, especially in this day and age where advanced stats are much more appreciated.

Hard to believe Jimmy Wynn never got a vote.
Had he played his home games in a more hitter friendly park instead of the Astrodome would have likely been a prennial all star starter.
Took a lot of walks in an era when that was not quite as understood to be as helpful as it is today.

He received 2 votes in 1997, his only year on the ballot.

Jimmy Wynn is a player that these veteran's committees should give another look. He was a hell of a hitter.
