Find as many caterpillars and chrysalis' that we can and bring them inside.
Wrap the outside sprinkler components.

And then go over to my BIL's and do the same thing. They are skiing in Colorado.
I told him I am going to shut the water off and drain the pipes at his house.
Not taking chances.

Then I am going to shut our water off around 8pm since we had a pipe burst the last time.

They are saying possibly 10 to 15 degrees at 5am tomorrow morning.

I thought for sure this was it and her decision to leave for Christmas. And she just returned to our house.

This is going to be an interesting day seeing what actually plays out.

No snow here , but it is supposed to rain this afternoon and evening. Highs may reach 50 this weekend with lows around freezing. The farmers are going to be working their tails off the next few days to keep the citrus and strawberries from freezing.

And that's after insulting a cancer patient in the other Week 16 thread.

I don't think "Tact" was a course they offered at Wrong All The Time University.

I don't think the current installment of "As the Tritty's Turns" is going to be excitable. I think the MIL decided it was best to stay home for Christmas after all. She would have needed to sneak out of the house today since my wife took tomorrow off.

Although here's hoping she still leaves tomorrow and the wife starts throwing her stuff out the front door before she pulls out.

And the bird feeder.

I've got some mild family drama to offer.

My sis is crazy but she married a decent guy a while back. When they divorced six years ago I stayed friends with him and haven't heard from her in almost four years. He's also stayed in contact with my much younger brothers and my widowed mother as someone who would often stop by the farm and help out with stuff they couldn't handle. (A lot of vehicle repair.)

Over the last two weeks, two people who were close friends with my sis and this guy while they were married passed away tragically. So he called my mom and asked her to pass along the sad news to my sis.

Then, this morning, after six years of post-divorce friendship with my family, he wakes up to a text message from my mom saying: "Out of respect for (my sister), please do not contact our family at any point in the future."

He called me and all I could do was shake my head and laugh because he and I both know how absolutely insane my mom and sis are. I told him that really sucks and that I would wait for the right holiday moment to let her know just how sh*tty that kind of behavior is.

Merry Christmas!
