We should start a fund raiser for casinos. They must be losing so much money.

How can Ian even still be arguing? He went down with the ship already. The ship is well on its way to the bottom of the Marianas Trench.

Coal for your stocking.

FT would love it so he can stoke the engine.

Frenzy, do you think you've found your very own FratBoy (OG)/Rotherwood (PBM)/Common Cents (PBM 2x)? Might be too soon to tell but he's got real home-on-winter-break-after-getting-a-B-in-PSY101 energy mixed with "won a couple hands of Texas Hold 'Em online" confidence.

I'm still trying to figure out how it can be that the best time ("historically") to bet is against the actual oddsmakers when they set the initial lines rather than later when the bettors are setting the lines and the lines become "wildly inaccurate".

It's like they've somehow internalized "the house always wins" to mean "betting odds are completely detached from reality."

My most memorable run in with him was chatting about the Packers salary cap prior to this season and how insistent he was about Rodgers contract not being a big deal for the Packers cap and they could do whatever they wanted anyways.

We were all worried about Mahomes' throwing shoulder. Turns out we should have been worried about him "Theisman'ing" his leg.

He must still be salty about Theismann's 2nd half down by 14 comeback to win 38-21 and totally embarrass the Packers.

I've got a cousin who was born with severe water on the brain. The doctors didn't think he would survive his first year—especially given my aunt's severe drug addiction. But becoming a mother sparked a change in my aunt and she turned her life around. She devoted everything to caring for my cousin and he eventually became something of an inspiration in my hometown. I remember teaching at a Dallas school a few miles away from his high school when a kid shoved him and he started seizing. Word spread pretty fast on social media and when I sat down to eat lunch I had a group of my seniors come up to me and ask if I wanted them to go jump the kid. (I told them how much that meant to me and also not to put that plan into action.) Some of the loudest cheers at graduation were for when my cousin walked across the stage. By that point, he had already developed a bit of a following as a Christian rapper through his local church and had even had a few things go viral. Still, he's never enjoyed "good" health and in recent years he's had a few more seizures that have required months rehab—all of which my aunt attentively provided. She also married a truck driver who seemed to pretty involved and supportive of my cousin's care. He was someone who had faced his own addiction demons and told everyone he was a changed person.

We lost my aunt to COVID during the pandemic and my cousin had his worst seizure ever shortly after from the stress. I'm living in Arizona and suddenly getting calls from my other cousins who live down in the Houston area trying to coordinate end of life stuff for him because the doctors didn't think he was going to make it. I started asking where his dad was. They said he was already remarried to a meth head and had left the state. The last thing he told my cousin was not to call him and good luck making it on his own. It's been over a year now and my cousin still hasn't recovered, he's still bouncing between friend's couches and ICU beds.

I never really got to know my aunt's husband, but I do know one thing about him: He's a huge Packers fan.

I am 25% Italian and grew up eating real Italian food. I don't define Olive Garden as Italian food. My wife and the girls like to eat there. I'd rather go to Jersey or New York City and get some real Italian food.

Another successful Santa Run is in the books. My wife almost didn't make it though, because just as they were pulling out of the station we got an ambulance call in Ironsides 1st due area and my wife was manning on #1 ambulance. Thankfully, Ironsides marked up and she was able to continue to the run.

I setup in 8 places this year and videotaped them 10 times going through. Of course I have to cut one run through thanks to the one a-hole guy driving the other ambulance deciding he thought it was cute to jerk the ambulance towards me and the camera like he was going to hit me; all while residents looked on. Needless to say, instead of going off on him back at the station in front of all the children, I reported him to the Chief. Maybe he'll be suspended again.

We didn't have as many kids come to the station for Santa like we did pre-pandemic. The dinner was delicious when we got back.

The only 2 I have on this list are stocking stuffers and wrap gifts, Friday is when I will get the stocking stuffers while I pick up our grocery order. I don’t envy you trusting the post office to get your mail there before Christmas.
