Neither guy pulled away this week, but Hurts took a hit.
Nobody said anything about Jalen's game today, until the Mahomies came in running their mouths.

Mahomes lost the Vegas odds lead last week? Why? Because of those interceptions. So yeah, I wasn't wrong, they were detrimental to his odds.

And if you think I'm saying the Hurts interceptions we're that big of a deal, go look at what I was responding to.

You made a huge statement with zero proof.

Then when someone gave you a verifiable metric showing a close race you doubled down by calling them dishonest.

Even after you yourself could offer no equally verifiable metric supporting your own claim and instead concluded with this weird post.

None of your recent posts are a good look.

But is it an easy schedule or very easy schedule? We gotta put some metrics around cakewalk. We talking 3-tier cake or more like a cupcake? There's folks out there who go bananas for cakewalks!

Hell, even if you look at that one alone, it was a response to a comment that said if interceptions don't matter then Mahomes still had a better game. Way to ignore that.

I'd rather drive my car off a cliff than continue to try and reason with Mahomes fanboys that talk out of both sides of their mouth.
Well you said you were done an hour ago but keep posting. Is that you Majestik?

He definitely helped. Burrow had nothing in the first half until Brady imploded in the third quarter.

At least 45 first place votes?

40?

35?

Let's set the bar now.
Just to add some "honest" data to this point, here are the winning margins over the last ten years:

2021 - Aaron Rodgers with 29 votes over Tom Brady.
2020 - Aaron Rodgers with 40 votes over Josh Allen.
2019 - Lamar Jackson with 50 votes over everyone.
2018 - Patty Mahomes with 32 votes over Drew Brees.
2017 - Tom Brady with 32 votes over Todd Gurley.
2016 - Matt Ryan with 15 votes over Tom Brady.
2015 - Cam Newton with 47 votes over Tom Brady / Carson Palmer.
2014 - Aaron Rodgers with 18 votes over J.J. Watt.
2013 - Peyton Manning with 48 votes over Tom Brady.
2012 - Adrian Peterson with 11 votes over Peyton Manning.

So the average margin of victory is 32.2 votes. Setting the bar for a "big lead" or a "big margin" at 40 votes over the runner up seems fair.

Honestly, unless Mahomes or Hurts absolutely implodes over these last few weeks, I don't see either one reaching +40 votes.

I don't either but sometimes it feels like the voters get together at the end and are like "who are you voting for?". I have a feeling recency bias will be huge.

Let's stay on the rails, guys. This is a literal dead heat. I bet it's even odds tomorrow. Great game by Mahomes (not so much the Chiefs) and a good game by Hurts (his rushing stats are carrying him). Someone will slip up these next three games. Enjoy it, boys!

Next week is Bills vs Bears and Bengals vs Patriots.

After that, Bills vs Bengals.

Winning QB of that game is going to be right in the race, whether they deserve it or not. And to be honest, if Mahomes and Hurts both lose a game (both are playing a team fighting for a playoff spot this week), they might very well deserve to be in the conversation.

I heard from an authority on the matter state that this was a dishonest take.
