Somehow I missed this. VERY cool! I think my personal favorite is the Gallen auto.

1987 Topps was the first set I collected as a kid, so that is very nostalgic for me.

So, with this years 35th Anniversary set I decided to put together the Silver Pack 1987 base set together. I am hoping to eventually complete this, and the regular base 1987 35th anniversary sets together and keep them all in a binder together with the real 1987 set.

Not really worth a bunch, but will be cool for me.

Because they sell well. People would like other inserts if they sold well too. I think they sell well because the design is a semi-ripoff of the panini downtown insert set that was a limited print run and sold well so there was a familiarity built in. Topps very successfully came up with a nice design and limited the print run in comparison to their other inserts. Wish they had more nice looking limited print run insert sets out there. The scarcity helps make it a fun set to collect and also help give it some sale value.
