Thumbs down "Hella" and other embarassing scenester words

Few months back one of my favorite podcast's absolutely roasted their mate for incorporating 'hella' unironically into convo. They hit the nail on the head...

Earlier this week I instantly noticed the introduction of 'hella' into my mates vocab and he proceeded to use it 2 more times for a grand total of 3 in one sitting. I was somewhat repulsed but also secretly amused.

What are some 'in vogue' words past or present that make you recoil in horror?

Cheers

Some people here actually thought "broccoli hair" was something racist.

No cap.

convo and vocab are also annoying

Also saying cheers unless you're British or Australian/New Zealander then all is forgiven.

In the mid 90s kids used to say “mint” all the time, myself included. Was just another way of saying “dope”

No idea if this was a thing outside of nyc

Newish phrase that is annoying af and I’m not sure why
“What something looks like”
“Once we make the change with new employees we’ll have to see what that looks like”

As far as more recent, for whatever reason I can’t stand stuff like “feel some type of way” and “keep that same energy.” Big, big oofs.

I like old man yelling at the youth threads . It always sounds odd to me when people say cringe instead of cringey.

If we are going with blowout quips, "cool story bro" usually sickens me

I’ve only met a few but always have “mad respect” for females who use the phrase tits to describe something in a positive light.

I’m 38 and have been hearing and using hella most of my life. I guess it’s a Central Valley and Bay Area thing. Everyone is just catching up I guess

"Delish"

I'd like to kick Rachel Ray in the face.

And adding "ish" to the time.

Agreed. Especially cringeworthy when watching box breaks and the breaker yells it out when they pull a numbered to /399 base rookie Bailey Zappe out of Score
