Numbers and history are funny things either side can pick a time frame and use it to their advantage. I prefer the complete history not chosen years or decades. 27 is the number associated with the Yankees and championships no other baseball franchise has more than 12 so I think the Yankees are doing something right.

I prefer to have a chance to make the playoffs every year over finishing in last place. The Yankees might not seem to be built for a deep run this year but at least they have a chance. Red Sox fans checked out in early August this year it seemed to me. I don't want that for my team.

When DJ is playing with his current injury he is not as effective, when healthy he is a valuable piece to the offense. Maybe coming off the bench he can be more effective , say hicks was actually in the lineup and a key situation came up with the bases loaded, a situation where hicks fails more often than not Lemahieu would be a great replacement.

Gotta say I think we'll be in for a tough time regardless of who wins this wc series. Its only 5 games so Bieber can go twice and Clase has been lights out. On the other hand, Tampa is def not afraid of the Yankees.

The Yankees went 5-1 vs the Guardians during the regular season.

Clase took a loss and got a save. We didn't face Bieber at all.

Just putting it out there.

We saw how the Guardians won today with both runs on a home run. If I were Boone, I'd seriously look at that and not start Cole Game 1 at Yankee Stadium.

I gave up buying from Topps last year trying to get parallels. Why bother paying more money and then if you do get a parallel when they finally ship them out, you either have to pay crazy money for the regular card or there are no longer available on E-bay.

I was just joking about the parallels, I know those all go to Phil Hughes anyway. I don't buy much but I got caught up in the moment and bought a 5 pack. Cards will probably be on ebay for .99 soon if I just waited lol

Wasnt it this year where they got into it with the fans in the outfield and then the fans were throwing stuff on the field.

That was just us paying them back for Rivera's blown save in Game 4 of the 1997 ALDS.

Looks like Cleveland will be coming to town. Considering all 3 runs Cleveland scored were off 2 home runs, I wouldn't be starting Cole in Game 1.
