Bryson Stott is the first player ever to reach base 4 times in a game against Scherzer

What are the odds that the year we put together a badass team that they Mets and Braves put together even better teams?

unfortunately, I think the odds were pretty good. It pains me to say it, but the Braves have just been better at developing talent that will have a greater impact on their everyday roster…. The Mets have been shelling out money to get high priced free agents and while in past years they’d ultimately fall apart, it seems like they might have finally gotten the right mix in place-although hopefully I’m wrong.

The Phillies have definitely assembled a better team this year but they need to get Bryce and Seranthony back, and others to hit more consistently, in order to stay on target for the playoffs and hopefully do some damage.

Phillies can't play small ball. They get a guy on second no outs and can't do anything, they aren't aggressive on the base paths either. I mean we were up 4-0 against a rookie pitcher and the Mets just chipped away and before we knew it they were back in it. So many times we need one run but can't get it done, even if the leadoff guy gets on.

I love Schwarbs, but I miss the days of Rollins and Victorino getting on, stealing a base and scoring. None of that in this lineup.

Limping into the postseason with a whimper

The irony of relying on the Marlins to help you get there

Is it just me or does 2008 Ryan Howard seem like a 100 years ago?

I'll take what we can get. Missing the playoffs altogether would be brutal for morale.

Hard to believe the Phils' last playoff game was that 1-0 game 5 where Halladay took the L. That indeed seems like a lifetime ago.

What a great moment last night. Didnt need to rely on anyone. Nola throws a GEM and the bullpen locks it down.

Congrats to Hoskins, Nola and Eflin, who deal with their fair share of mostly justified head shaking by the fan base. Those three guys were all here through some very, very lean years.

I hope Harper can get it together for the playoffs.

We have the pitching to go deep, especially when it looks like the bullpen has been figured out, I just wonder if the bats will go cold like they have down the stretch at times.

Schwarbs has been worth every penny, I just hope Harper can catch on fire.

He just hasn't been himself since coming back. If we can somehow get MVP level Harper, or close to it, and maybe something from Castellanos, anything is possible.
