Yeh I don't see how Strider wins it. It's felt like he's fluttered out...down the home stretch. 200K's is holding him afloat at this point.

I don't even think he fluttered out. His last start was 6 innings, 1 hit, 1 run, 10 strikeouts, 3 walks. His chances took a bit of a hit when he had one start skipped, then when they put him on the IL, that killed any chance he had.

Yeah I don't think his performance is the issue at all. Missing time at the end when it matters the most is what the difference will be.

Still wish they can both win it.

Agree. When he pitches he's very dominate. Its the outta sight, outta mind. Especially at this point in the season, the race and the vote. Being a pitcher vs every day CF was always going to be tough to overcome. But dang will it be close.

Same. Right or wrong, almost seems like the injury to Strider will be used as an excuse not to vote for him... The odds are heavily in MHII's favor at this point.

Lol you can tell he doesn't watch or follow baseball, and only follows cards, if he thinks Strider has "fluttered" out.

I think starting the year in the bullpen didn't help either. If he would have been in the rotation instead of Ynoa, he would have had 8-10 more starts and 30-40 more innings. I think him getting to qualifying status would have given him a big boost for the vote.

He had some bad offensive luck against the Mets. Barreled up quite a few balls that were right at the SS or CF. I remember one off Scherzer with two on, two out that looked like it would clear the bases and it was sniped. Still... made a ton of plays in CF though and saved some runs. I expect him to hit a dinger in Miami to get the magical 20-20 number. That's a historic milestone for a 21 year old.

If I were voting I'd lean 51-49 Strider, but I think Michael wins it.

Never should have moved him to the 3-hole. 3-25 with 3 singles from then until the end of the season, now 0-7 in the postseason.

I wonder how much ROY voting might have changed if Strider would have had a couple solid starts to end the season (most likely would have started one of the Mets' games), instead of being on the IL.
