Yeah, even if Julio is out for the year, Adley won't have as many games in as he does, and Julio still has an advantage on almost all stats. Julio has been the favorite for so long, it would take something huge to swing the vote in another direction.

Pitch framing is not going to win the award for Adley.

12 games left for Adley. WAR is the most commonly referenced stat for awards consideration. Playing catcher is not like other defensive positions.

I'm aware of all of this, and Julio is still going to win. Both guys are going to be great, but Julio has been top of mind for too long to lose the award at the end of September.
