Default Todd Gurley Collectors

I started a Todd Gurley PC recently and having trouble locating his top 1/1 cards (black finite, superfractors, shield autos). Does anyone else collect Todd Gurley?

Might be a Dawgs fan that has them. Especially now that they’re a lot cheaper.

You might get better visibility in the B/S/T section.

I'm building a PC for fun. He was my favorite player for years and now he's affordable so I'd like to snag all his top cards. I've got a few big ones so far.

There was a major Gurley collector on here, that dumped his PC a while ago.

You probably aren't seeing much, as he retired 2 years ago and was last relevant in the hobby 5 years ago.

People probably aren't digging through their PC to pull cards of him to post for sale. Most of eBay is all the latest and greatest players people are trying to flip.

Good news for you, he is a lot cheaper now. Bad news is, because of that, people just aren't shopping his cards.

Definitely fits the " What if" category. Anytime you see high usage(carries) in RB's, their careers are usually short. With Gurley, throw in his pass catching ability and his peak was even shorter, unfortunately.

I don't think it had as much to do with high volume in the NFL as it did his knees being wrecked by the time he got to the NFL.

Offensive player of the year on wrecked knees. Not too shabby.

I didn’t even know he hasn’t played since 2020. Wow, he’s only 28.

There’s way less accomplished/popular players than Gurley II that people super collect. He’s a Georgia legend who seems like a nice guy who also happened to have several great NFL seasons before his body failed him.

So why does it shock you that someone besides his mom or Gurley II himself has a Gurley II collection?

I like it. I choose to collect Sam Mills and Steve Smith from the Carolina Panthers. Mainly due to the memories I had when I was originally collecting.

I've enjoyed that it remains affordable for the most part, even through the boom and bust.

But I do share your struggle. I feel once players are retired or out of the news they get buried in collections and become hard find through the common marketplaces. But the search is part of the hobby and does make it pretty satisfying when we can find them.
