Print error in 2021-2022 donruss optic photon?

Hello everyone

I just opened a hobby box of 2021/22 Basketball Donruss Optic and found a nice DeRozan Photon. But that photon isn't in the red colors like the other ones.
It is all white and silver, like a holo.

I didn't know there is such a holo photon.

I looked for comps on ebay and saw other "white photons"... ALL OF THEM DEROZAN's.

Am I tripping?

Is there a photon specialist around here?

I feel like this is deja vu, didn't someone go over this in the past month?

Yeah this was discussed in the main optic thread for this year. It’s just some kind of print defect only for this player. What I find interesting is there has been a crazy amount of DeMar’s pulled compared to the rest of the checklist.

about the amount, can it be seen as a standard to know the number of photons for other players? around 10 ?

It’s not a misprint on the photon- it’s a misprint photon on all of his cards.

Could it be a fair reason to send it back to Panini as a damaged card ?
