Do you know why 1993 SP Jeter and 1991 Topps Chipper Jones are RCs?

Go look at the checklist for those products - a base card sharing a checklist with veteran players in a widely available product.

Same reason 21BB are RCs.

It only takes a "select few" in pursuit of a high end card to make it take off anyway, not sure what your point is there. Plus being among the "select few" to own low #d 21BB Julio parallels doesn't sound like a bad thing when you see auctions ending like this:

Right- but player's status was never part of Beckett's RC definition. Plenty of iconic historic examples that are considered RCs even though they came out one or more years before the player's MLB debut.

All this stuff has already been said like 700 different times in other threads.

Man I would've wanted to get a Chrome auto of Julio, but that card looks dreadful. Yuck. Reminds me 100% of Acuna's Sapphire autos, just horrible.

What is sad is Chrome Update usually has sticker autos so thats going to be a downer :\
