I cannot express just how much I hate the fact that everything points to the Bucs coming out flat (serious o-line injuries and Brady being old and away from the team) and that they’ll still probably win with some Brady magic.

I hate it so much.

How has no one mentioned Tyron going down? Just a given at this point and no one cares?

Does it ever get better for Tyron Smith and the Cowboys? The man was destined for Canton and just can't shake the injuries. They had him pulling in practice and do full contact blocking on their starters? Torn hamstring and some knee damage to go along with it that will require surgery.

Haha, beat me to it. All-Pro likely out for the season. The Cowboys have to deal with BS off the field and season altering injuries like this on it.

I stated in the draft thread that I'll be a mini Cowboys fan as your 5th round selection, Matt Waletzko is from my area and I work with his mother. Really hope he can shake off another shoulder injury and maybe get some reps in soon.

Jerry refusing to get outside line help then saying skill position players have to step up is so maddening. If Dak has no time to throw and Zeke has no holes to run through then how can anyone step up?

And we are throwing Tyler Smith, who has only worked at guard, to the wolves so they will ruin him too. Aaaarrrggghhh

The team is so reluctant to add free agents or make trades.

And I'm sure everyone will be blaming McCarthy even though he has nothing to do with it. The play calling sucked from the beginning. Who runs 2 reverses within the first 10 plays. Both went for negative yardage

Season is over, tank for Stroud and trade the pick.

Dak was bad before he got hurt but lets not pretend he had much to work with…the offense was gutted by Jerry and Stephen’s poor choices this offseason and it shows.

I'm convinced the Jones family has/have every intention of tanking this season to get Sean Payton next season. Now they have a real reason to do so.

Dak (2025), Zeke and Gallop are all signed through the 2026 season. There are out clauses though.
Zeke - out at the end of this year to cancel 60 mill or so left on contract for a 11 million cap hit next year. - This seems very likely regardless how well he plays.
Gallup - Out after next year (14 million) to cancel 27 million of last two years for a cap hit of 6. Smaller money values. I would guess they would exercise this as well unless he lights it up. You could easily draft in two years and save the 21 million and get similar production on a rookie contract.
Dak - He is staying next year. You cut him next year, his cap hit is 89 million. He has an out after next year for a cap hit of 40 million instead of 52 million normally. Either is a lot to swallow. His contract will need to be restructured after this year if they are keeping him or find a suitor in a trade. Do they want 40 million dead cap if they cut him or ride him out for these remaining two years?

Prescott was forcing throws and the receivers struggled. The front office did little for the offense and that is what the unit did yesterday on the field.

Completely agree with the bizarre early play calls.
Then they kept trying to call weird plays with Pollard instead using him the same way they use Elliott. He dud fine last season just running normal plays, why change things up?
It felt like I was watching my Iowa Hawkeyes all over again.

I love that you are looking at this with the logic that Jerry would never have in a MILLION years. All of them will be on the team through 2024 probably 2025 mark my words. These are all Jerry's favorites, which of course means over paid and underperforming, but Jerry signs the checks so they are going nowhere
