Honestly, that's an excellent question!

I don't have a Chromebook and don't know much about them, but I believe you can install an extension on Chromebook to allow them to use Windows apps. If so, then I'm guessing it should work.

It doesn't appear it will work. Got the following message.

"This file is designed for a PC using Windows software. This is not compatible with your device which runs ChromeOS. Please search the Chrome Web Store for a suitable replacement app."

Oh well. It was worth a try. I have an old laptop that I'll pull out of storage to see how that works. Thanks again.

Since this is a native Windows (and macOS) application, I figured it would need a workaround to get up and running on a Chromebook.

I don't have a Chromebook to test, but here are the steps according to the web on getting Windows apps on a Chromebook:

I'm working on an update with some nice features that you should be done in about a week. The main one will be a "Wish List" or Want List where you can enter the cards you want, and they will be a separate part of the collection.

• Total Profit/Loss to bottom of List Menu
• Added Insert Photo from Image URL Option

• Added Wish List feature to enter cards you want in the future

I've tested this out importing card spreadsheets of 38,000+ and it worked fine. That included the processing of image URL links converting to actual images into the database.

The Wish List is the biggest new feature. A simple "Wish List" box on the Main Menu allows you to enter info for a card, click the Wish List button and that card will be separate from your collection and part of your Wish List. When you eventually get the card, you can click the button and it's in your collection.

Very nice job so far. Although I'd suggest adding a parallel section to the card info. Just a typable field should be fine, way too many parallels to put in a drop down selector. That way when you try to check sales on eBay it can add the parallel to the title and you can find more accurate results. I'm sure this was geared more towards cards that never really had parallels, but I think it would be a great addition.

EDIT: Also if you type in the players first name and hit tab thinking it would go to last name. It annoyingly doesn't. Not sure if that is a file maker thing, or a fixable thing.

For your first suggestion about the parallel section, that should work with the Card Notes field entry at the bottom of "Card Info:" When you add any notes to this field, it will update the "Title" and in turn, will be added when you click the eBay buttons, for more accurate results. Please check that out and see if that works for you.

As for the tabs, it actually should go to the next field. I set the tab order to jump to the data entry fields in the following order:

Well not sure, but neither of those are working as advertised for me. When I tab from Player First Name it goes to #14 on your image. Purchase date.

Also when I add the parallel to the Card notes nothing changes.

What I’ve noticed so far is that the “card notes” don’t show up in the card title. The first card I listed is a green refractor, but it didn’t carry over to the title from the “card notes” section. Maybe add a “brand” option separate from the “manufacture” option. I.e. manufacture is Topps, brand is finest, chrome, stadium club, etc.

I just checked and both of those issues are solved in version 1.1.
I have a feeling you both might be using the original version 1.0, perhaps?

You can download the demo for version 1.1 to have those issues fixed along with a lot more updated things like the Wish list, bug fixes, cosmetics issues, etc. Cheers.

Well that fixed the tabbing issue. And now when I enter a new card, and I add card notes, it adds them to the top bold bar. But when I click the eBay links that specific part of the title doesn't transfer over.

Also I'd suggest maybe removing the downloads from that one post. And instead linking the site since that will always be the most up to date downloads. I downloaded directly from the post and got the 1.0, which was half the issue.

Anyways looking great so far. Thats the only issue I see at all.

Awesome. One last thing I just noticed. For the Card Images. In 1.0 when you clicked on them you would get a new window that popped up and the image would fill the entire window. It was a big image. I'm guessing it all depends on the size of the image you upload for it. Regardless. Now when I click on the image it is tiny. I went ahead and removed and re added the images just in case. But that didn't change anything. I also double checked that the scanned images weren't actually that small in the first place and they weren't. So looks like something changed somewhere.

Thanks for the info. I did actually fix a bug here in 1.0 where the window wouldn't show the card on the first click. This was fixed, so I did change something from 1.0 to 1.1, but there shouldn't have been any size adjustment. I can essentially make this pop up window unlimited size, but I have it set on my end to 1500 x 1000 pixels and that remained unchanged from 1.0. Hmmm...I'll take a look at it, and thanks for the heads up.

Bradley, here's a minor addition you also might like:



Since the headline text is a calculation generated from multiple fields, I added a small "copy" icon to the headline bar.

So people can also just click this little "copy" icon, and then the entire card headline text (including any card notes) is copied to the clipboard, in case people want to past this info into 130point.com or other sides with card searching. (130point doesn't allow for easy searching via a URL like eBay, otherwise I would have added a 130point button too.).

But that's a nice little tweak I'll actually use from time to time too.

Wish list is being tweaked a but too. Cheers.

Regrettably I have not downloaded this yet, but plan on it today!

Question though, if I download 1.1 and you release 1.2 is there a patch that will come through and just update everything, or will I have to re-enter everything after downloading the new version?
