I can see a case for Miami. Although, I will point out that a big part of the reason they didn't win it all his first year there was because it was still LeBron's/Wade's team. It was the next year when he took over that they won.

And if that were it I'd probably place LeBron and KD in the same category. But let's face it, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love weren't leading the Cavs anywhere on their own. And as great as AD had been up unto that point in his career, he had only made it out of the first round once. This is a far cry from joining a 73 win team.

I hope he goes to Miami and loses to the Celtics again in the playoffs.

Like I said the Miami part was the only part of your post I disagreed with, that has as much to do with Wade's greatness at that time period as anything else though.

I would not call KD a hired gun personally. I think his choices post OKC are a reflection of different personal issues/feelings with regards to his legacy.

To be fair with KD, he's right about the direction of the Nets. They chose him as the leader of that team, what kind of upper management does that?

Lebron was definitely more important to his team's titles chances than Durant was to the Warriors. But they're both hired guns.

Then we'll just have to disagree on our definitions of hired guns. Which is fine.

MFW 'Lonte's become a more likeable public figure than KD.

Was this still a good buy if you paid $11,000 for it?

Asking for a card influencer.

Bron wasn't a hired gun, he was a free agent. He could go anywhere he wanted. He chose Miami.

Kind of tired of the Nets dominated off-season. Same thing with Lakers dream team last year and the Ben Simmons sage. It's literally all that will be talked about for the next 2 months.

Durant the coward, always looking for the easy route.
He made the mess, he should wallow in it.

The astronomical Gobert haul and crazy expected asking price for Durant really put a crawl to the off season trade market.

Same. But it's either that or speculate whether or not Collin Sexton will take the $7.2MM QO, so I guess watching Durant's twitter tops that

I love the “Philly is a potential trade destination for KD” rumors, but then immediately remember he’s virtually impossible to trade for.

I think the Sixers should do it, Embiid is going to break down - you need to maximize this window as much as you can. If I knew Zion was going to be healthy I'd say trade Ingram but I don't know that I trust his health going forward.

I'm not sure exactly what they have to do, though. Maxey, Thybulle, Tobias, and picks. I assume that's the package it will take to get it done, but I'm not sure what the Nets are asking for.

It's a tough call, but I think it's worth trying to add Durant for 3-4 years and make a hard run at the title. The injuries that Embiid is accumulating tend to hurt more as you age. He left the playoffs with a broken face and needing surgery on both hands this past season. More wear and tear is inevitable for the upcoming season.

Harden looks like cp3 running the point (when healthy) that team would dominate the east imo. On another note, I see the nets not giving in to any trade offers. Gonna get ugly before it gets pretty in bk. Durant knows more that's going on than any talking head... Hopefully there's a resolution soon either way

The Nets are not trading Durant for a pile of mediocre players and picks. He’ll play for Brooklyn or they will get exactly what they want.
