Fake according to who? CSG who also said it was authentic 3 weeks prior? Not sure I’m smelling what you’re cooking.

John Mangini on YouTube said something about the eBay authentication being optional now...anyone seen this?

Right lol! Thanks man, if I do ever decide to move it I wouldn’t touch EBay, I like the movie Groundhog Day but have no interest in role playing it with Dorsey Levens playing Bill Murrays part.

CSG has said it wasn't authentic once and our friend told you how it's been proven as a fake serial number on Blowout. We've seen *plenty* of fake cards in slabs on here and yours has a fake serial number:

But they screwed up, so they should refund you. Keep us updated.
Funny how you decide to send it for grading to SGC and not PSA, a company that is significantly easier to slip an altered card through.

It would be extremely shady and unethical if you now turned around and tried to sell this card just because SGC slabbed it(despite what was posted about the card on Blowout)

Care to point me in the direction of this thread where this card was supposedly discussed? Search feature isn’t showing me anything, thanks Slim Shady. If I send to every single grading company that is currently in business would you then consider me ethical? Let me know, I have the free time.

They failed my 2021 Topps Heritage Real One Auto of Aaron Judge this morning - headed back to me. The reason was unable to confirm authenticity. Reached out on Twitter - zero help but they seem to recognize something's up as eBay CS called me. They were apologetic and I explained exactly what was going on...seems like CSG is the problem.

I bought a 600 dollar raw card

It did not go to authentication

It was damaged so I returned it

I bought a very expansive Bgs 9.5 card

I know they say over an amount it goes

But how stupid

I get new people might have no clue

So I deal with it

But what a huge waste of money and time imo

RM is a legend. His word is gospel on this stuff. I’ve never seen him be wrong.

Tough spot for you to be in. Pretty shitty for eBay not to reimburse your purchase and have you send them back the card.

That's terrible that they didn't refund you. So what kind of guarantee is this if we are getting altered and deceptive cards? Just received a 4 figure card today with a bent corner and edge ding that passed through. I don't know I could feel comfortable selling it without disclosing the damage myself. Debating whether or not I'll force the return on this one.

Look through the first page of the thread. As you get more familiar with the numbering, you'll be able to differentiate the real and fake serial numbers more easily. The numbering style is similar through various fleer sets from the time period so that's more cards you can look through.

To quote Tom Callahan a guaranteed piece of shiiiit. Best of luck on getting your issue resolved, such a load of crap to have to deal with this stuff when the “authenticator” should be catching it.

Picked up a SGC graded 1956 Topps Koufax….shipped on August 1 to the “authenticator” and scheduled to arrive on August 17.

What a lame experience to wait 2.5 weeks for a graded card with a stupid middleman. Really a turnoff for future eBay purchases.

I wonder how much longer CSG can continue this charade. They've obviously misrepresented their level of knowledge and skill to ebay.

This program enables bad sellers to get away with it. Previously, if the buyer files an INAD return, you stand next to no chance of winning. Now, you just have to take a no risk gamble that CSG overlooks the issue, or doesn’t think it’s bad enough to warrant not passing. Once that happens, you’re good.

I’m in the same boat

Bought high end bgs card

Guy shipped it same day. Great seller

But it has been in Florida with weekend almost a week

Bgs Psa and sgc. Buyer should decide if they want card to go to authentication

I would love to see a video of the eBay rep opening my Bgs card

Yep that’s a Bgs card

Ok ship it to back to Illinois

I get raw. But not Psa Bgs Sgc

It should be much quicker than that. I have had two cards in the last couple weeks go to the authenticator, one shipped 8/2, got to the authenticator today and it was authenticated and already has shipping instructions to me generated, which is also what happened last time. Maybe older cards take longer but I don't see why.
