Did you know that last year's 145 was the highest for any player in a season since Barry Bonds in 2003 (232)?

In fact, it was a top-20 all time season.
- 6 tied/higher were Barry Bonds
- 4 were Ted Williams
- 3 were Babe Ruth

Juan is currently 29 ahead of 2nd place in 2022 (Max Muncy with 58).

I think it's safe to confirm we haven't seen this level of plate discipline and pitching-around since the end of the steroid era.

That's incredible.

Come on. Put Juan with his combo of plate discipline and power on a team with actual MLB talent and he’s going to age like few we’ve ever seen in the league. It’s not Soto’s fault that the Nats are a disaster.

How many home runs this year do you think he looses to "pitching around"?

Pitchers are trading tons of walks for some significant amount of home runs. This early in his career. If pitchers avoid him at a rate never seen before in baseball over a players career, dont we have a pretty big problem for his career hr total.

I don't think that's something worth worrying about, honestly.

If he lands on a team that can protect him in the lineup that won’t be an issue.

I can’t imagine it’s easy with all the trade talks surrounding him. I bet he turns it on after Tuesday.

Final Soto haul from the National.

I had a blast making new friends, meeting fellow blowout members, and picking up some key cards on my want/need list . I already can’t wait for next year!

Who are the Nats picking up? I don't think he gets traded right now.

I'm guessing Abrams, Gore, Hassell, Wood would all be there as guys to be involved.

I would say Nats probably asking for all 4, while Padres only want to give up 2 of the four(1 of the MLB players and 1 of the top prospects).

I'm starting to wonder if he just winds up in LA with the Dodgers. This is starting to sound like 2021 Turner/Scherzer all over again
