$50 Store Credit in addition to the refund. I guess that's a pretty nice gesture. The idea of "making it right" is a pipe dream, so I think anything in addition to the refund is a bonus. Personally, I'd be just as happy with a public acknowledgement of their mistake and an open apology to affected MC members.

Welp, I just got an email with a refund for my Montgomery Club purchase of Sapphire Bowman. Lame.

The email also says I'm receiving a $50 store credit.

"We had an error in our system and unfortunately we are unable to fulfill your order. We are deeply sorry for this inconvenience. As your order was placed during our presale we are issuing a $50 store credit in addition to your refund that will process within 5-7 business days."

i’ve said it before but they absolutely bungled that drop from A to Z. In addition to the MC drop it restocked 4 separate times between Wed-Thur. The main public drop wed, two quick restocks thur morning then the all night long drop thursday night. then they made small cancels every day for 5 straight days and still somehow shipped boxes to the public over mc members.

Not to mention they got beat by bots on the wed drop then again on the public star wars drop bc bots found a backdoor to public drops through the mc link. close to zero manual orders went in on the primary public drop for bowman and i think literally zero went in on star wars public drop.

I missed the part where they offered the $50 credit, i doubt they will do anything beyond that.

F you Topps seriously this proves that after 70 years, your time is done. So wish they lost the licensing rights moons ago and let Upper Deck make some monsters.

just opened my 5... 0 autos and 2 numbered... no way this is statistically possible with that low of PR without destroying/backdooring. i did complete 2 full sets though...

am i doing the math wrong here? if PR is 1874 sets and you get 20/30 in a box, there should be roughly 2,811 boxes total. Adding up all the different parallel configurations for each of the 30 cards would be 7,680 parallels. You should get 2-3 parallel per box if all were packed out?

anywho....if anyone is opening the Topps x Chet Holmgren packs and are looking to trade to make up a set... PM me i need 7 more for my 3rd set and have several duplicates

That sucks. I would fill out a missing hit report. Your numbers are pretty accurate. Based on the odds if they gave out all the hits would be 2-3 parallels per box and at least 1 Auto per box, actually even better. Crazy that people are getting skunked.
Mine are late but out for delivery so will let everyone know.

SO, just opened all 12 of my Chet Holmgren boxes. I ordered 8 and 4 so two separate orders the same day. Not one single auto and only 5 parallels, 2 were out of /50 and 3 were out of /75. The Chase cards were 4 of the same card and then 3 of the same card then doubles of 2 others.

Nice I have been Topps'ed..........

Don't want to complain too much as there are real problems in the world. I guess to fix it go through the crazy Topps Missing Hit procedure which takes a long time and involves mailing. The resolution is at least 9-12 months.

I have a missing hit and damaged hit I submitted 11 months ago and still waiting. A few redemptions one of which I selected a substitute for that are nearing a year.

Enough complaining

Some take-aways from the Topps QA for MC members:
1. 2021 Bowman Heritage is in a warehouse. There was no information provided on plans for the product but there was interest from Topps in dumping the product in the Hudson.
2. None of the three speakers from Topps knew anything about the 22 Bowman Sapphire issue and did not even mention the $50 credit some members received.
3. Noted that JRod, Witt, and Torkelson will be included in the MC member complete set.

According to some, there are hundreds of JRod, Witt, and Wander autographed rookies sitting in that warehouse.
