The card in CFB's video is from the sellsheet/Topps promotional materials, so there's a very good chance that it's just a digital mockup that Topps put together using one of Ohtani's older autos.

Basically all of his 2022 autos look like the one on that Pure Power card. (In fact I think the only 2022 cards that I've seen with his old auto were all stickers, so they literally were old autos...)

I can't really complain since I hit my first superfractor, but overall I had mixed feelings about my 2 box rip. The cards look really nice, but for a premium product, it shouldn't have a 300 card checklist. My two best cards were a Casey Mize superfractor auto and a Jared Walsh red refractor. A lot of my hits were Astros and Red Sox, so it makes it easier to sell and hopefully come close to break even.

I thought the packs looked sloppy and also didn't like the collation with an encased auto and relic auto in one pack.

Would agree. I mean Topps Finest usually has a 100 card checklist and it sells for less so why not this. And it continues with Topps Gilded having a 150 card checklist and sells for $500.

Sooooo, I have yet to see an auto of Julio, Witt, or CJ on eBay or any of the many breaks I've watched.

If they are indeed, not in the product i would think we have a small chance topps throws us a bone if we complain enough about it on social media

Maybe everyone who bought a box either online or in-store can submit proof for limited base cards of Witt + Julio with a chance at refractor parallels....

Some of these cards are really nice. I like the Fresh Faces cards - and they're cheap cuz it's just a normal insert!

Stupid question: are the cards in the uncirculated a different parallel? Or is it just the same exact card as the refractor, except in a case? (What's to stop someone from putting the plain refractor into a case?)

It's understandable that signatures change over time but I don't see anything of his old auto on these new cards. I don't want to speculate too much on what's happened since I'm not collecting Ohtani. However, I will say I've seen some examples over the years of autographs that obviously weren't signed by the subject of the card. We collectors put far too much trust into words like certified/guaranteed/genuine.

Fair - some skepticism is always warranted, especially with what just happened in Definitive.

That being said, from the interviews I've seen and read, Shohei Ohtani is quite possibly the last baseball player on Earth I would expect to have someone else signing his cards for him.

Also, agree that there's not much of his previous signature in this new one - but then, there wasn't a whole lot of his original signature in the previous one, either. This is at least the second time he's just completely changed it.
